Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

The service was slow, the cashier was slow to take our order. After we paid and was getting our drinks looking for a table to sit at 4 tables were taken up by employees on break, one employee got up and went to the bathroom, we went to place our table tent number on the table he got up from and notice his cell ph9ne was plugged into the outlet so I didnt take the table. When the supervisor came out from the kitchen I said there’s no tables to sit at, he had the employees that were sitting at different tables get up and move, by this time my husband had unplugged the one employees cell phone that was left plugged in ans put it on the front counter with the employees that were standing there. There was no reason why the employees couldn’t of been at one table or in a break room, or when they seen all the tables were taken and PAYING CUSTOMERS were needing a table get up an move. Customers that placed their order after us got their food before us. The supervisor is handing our free food to customers that waited for their fries that were missing but not to anyone else that had to wait for a table or food. Spent 67.00 in food for my fries to be cold, the skin on my grilled chicken sandwich to be hard to bite through I took it off the break and pulled it apart. The chicken tenders meal the toast was cold, the cheese burger had way to much mustard on it, and the strawberry hibiscus refresher didn’t taste good.

Waited in the drive thru for about 15 minutes before they took my order. I apparently confused them when I said I wanted a burger with just pickles, onions, and mustard. They kept asking what I did not want on it. Then I had to wait another 15 minutes to pay and get my food. All the while watching the people delivering the food try and find the right cars and customers. I know it is new, but the organization is disastrous. Hoping things pick up and get better. The food was good though.

When you walk in, it’s so loud you can’t hear yourself think or hear the order taker. The food seemed fresh but was extremely salty, we got two junior burgers and fries. Couldn’t even eat half of it.

Only open two days!!! What could go wrong? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING… Burger was hot and delicious with fresh cold veggies (lettuce tomatoes pickles onions & mustard) served on a fresh burger bun… Onion rings were great too… Wife tried the French Fries .. also good!!!! The manager touched our table making sure everything was perfect… Also met the Operating Managing Partner David Ray as we left… Super nice… My mouth is salavating for our local location to open in Brandon Florida on SR 60
