My friend and I came here last week for lunch. I got the ceaser salad with chicken 4/5.
My friend got the nachos and wings. He ate it all, must have been 5/5.

Our first time here since the new owners and manger came into play. Love the atmosphere, they manage to update while keeping the home town rooted charm. The food is amazing everything we tried exceeded expectations and everything we saw come out of the kitchen looked amazing! Definitely recommend! They even left the iconic sports center sign outside! Our service has been exceptional.

The bartender took my order and was friendly and chatty. I ordered the ground beef nachos. Unfortunately, it was just okay: a stack of triangle corn tortilla chips with a topping of taco seasoned chunks of ground beef and melted cheese, with sliced mild (serrano?) green peppers on top. It had a side of sour cream. It was brought to me with no silverware and no salsa. I had to get up twice to request those. The server handed them to me when asked, but never once came to my seat to check on me. It was moderately busy, but not to the degree that she couldn’t have come by.

Busy on street parking or better parking located on the south side. Place gets busy, crowded, and loud later in the day. Bar seating and table seating available. It was hard for us three to get another spot for bar seating when another person arrived. Food was tasty and hot, not soggy. Mixed drinks were good.

Service 3/5 – the waitress came around every once in a while, but I had better luck going to the bar.
Atmosphere 5/5 – it’s a bar but had a DJ. There are 2 free pool tables next to free dart board. You just have to sign out the darts from the bartender. Pool sticks were straight but there isn’t any chalk for hands so bring your own or a glove. The stick chalk was old and split but the bar was able to replace it when asked. There is also free water for people to grab at will.

Sports has a special place in my husband’s and my heart (it is where we shared our first kiss!) so we were worried when we heard it was getting a make over. But it looks great in there! Corrine was our server and she was so fun and adorable. She was so happy to chitchat with us and answer any questions we had. I didn’t get to take a picture of our pretzel appetizer as we inhaled it! All around the atmosphere was great, drinks were tasty, and so was the food. I will say the pizza wasn’t tops and we missed some of the old staff. But again overall it was a great night out!

I feel very uncomfortable with the way one of the security guards was talking to me and my friends. Thank you for complimenting my hair. But to try and touch it, and then getting rude when I said no was too much. I get being polite but there was no need to tell us we’re too pretty to be out without our husbands. That was disrespectful. To stare at us from across the bar was creepy and to go out of your way to rub against us when walking passed with no set place to go ( we watched) was so inappropriate. Another employee there said his name is Rudy. Ladies be aware he is creepy and will turn aggressive when you deny him.

With a recent spacious facelift, this remains a Yakima landmark — an excellent venue for music and TV sports events, as well as other entertainment. The star of our lunch was a fabulous appetizer, four of these wonderful pork shanks with dipping sauce. We paired it with a good chicken salad and were full enough to take home a shank to photo and devour.

Deeply Disappointed – Discriminatory and Unsafe Experience
Would give this place 0 stars if I could!!!!! As a regular patron and Terrace Heights resident, I’ve always enjoyed Sportscenter— until now. I recently obtained a court-ordered protection order against an ex-boyfriend who has repeatedly harassed and threatened me, including multiple incidents at this very bar. I informed security of the situation weeks in advance.
Despite this, I was inexplicably denied entry during my most recent visit, while the man I filed against — who has a serious criminal history including domestic violence and assault — was allowed inside. No explanation was given, and I was left feeling humiliated and deeply uncomfortable.
I am a medical student, with no criminal history, and a Black woman. Being barred while my abuser, who is white, was welcomed sends a disturbing message: that victims of harassment, especially women of color, are not protected or believed.
This experience reflects poor judgment and raises serious concerns about racial discrimination and patron safety. My friends and I will not be returning to Sportscenter, because no establishment should enable the continued victimization of women or ignore legitimate safety concerns.
