If you need some smoked bbq in a pinch this place isn’t bad. They claim to do the smoking on-site which is pretty interesting. They didn’t offer coleslaw as a side when I went but I just made my own at home. The mac and cheese was unique and tasty but not my style for bbq. Given that I live in the neighborhood I will go back.

My friends and I decided to stop by in a middle of a very long bike ride around the city. We we’re the first ones there and we enjoyed the ambiance. The bar looked very hip and I could imagine it popping during a busy night (it was noon when we got there). The service was very friendly and they were willing to answer all our questions concisely. The portions were a tad underwhelming which is why they didn’t get 5 stars, or maybe that’s just how it appeared to 3 very hungry guys. The food itself was great and flavorful, just wish there were more of it.

Overall great place, the bathroom is very nice as well and constructed nicely .

F L I E S!!! There was a swarm of flies hovering behind the bar. We stayed because my friend is less disgusted by flies than I am, and he said they weren’t on the food so…yea. Is it okay to have a fly zapper in the vicinity of the buffet area? Is it okay for the bartender/waiter to laugh when you bring the flies to his attention? Is it okay to have hair on fried chicken wings? Is it okay to run out of all meats aside from chicken and pork at dinner time? Is it okay to have dirty tables when the restaurant is D E A D? Hell no! I had to come out of yelp retirement to write this review, so you know it’s real. Who are they paying to give them 4.5 stars for canned baked beans, glory greens, flavorless hairy fried chicken and kraft “white cheddar” mac n cheese? This place has so much potential and the fact that they chose to go the half (insert expletive for butt) route has me undone. Do better! I’ll never be back. Signed a once eager potential regular.

Could improve on happy hour, and match other local bars on beer pricing and choice. So far great bbq in Inwood, mashed potatoes are great.
8/12/17 still best brisket uptown, dinosaur doesn’t even come close.

Decent prices, comfortable atmosphere, the food to die for especially if you are a barbecue nut like myself. But if the place is packed don’t cry wait for a spot to open up or just order out either way you won’t go wrong with fat pig. ( heads up people fat pig has moved to Harlem )

Quality bbq. Fantastic brisket. Limited menu, but very yummy bbq basics. No happy hour, but beer prices are best in the neighborhood, specifically for beer selections that are priced at a premium elsewhere.

Want to give this 4 stars so badly but theres a just a few things I would change first. The first two times we went they were out of most items. I totally understand that as a bew place opens, it takes same getting used to when ordering stock but even after we placed orders, they came and said the were out of some more of those things. And this was two separate times about a month apart. The bbq is pretty good but the pork items could be more tender and less dry. Like the variety of interesting sauces they offer. The OG bbq sauce could be a little thicker and less watery IMO. The drinks are very good and very affordable. Service is fine and the vibe is chill and casual.

Cool concept, very unique bar in this neighborhood. Their house rum is no good but great selection of beers, whiskeys, and bourbons. Bartenders are friendly.
