Went for Valentine’s Day dinner, gorgeous atmosphere. Great, friendly attentive service. Our four-course meal for 2 was $180. The starters were absolutely amazing, had the Arancini and Gnocchi Gratin. Those 2 made it on my most memorable list of foods I’ve ever tried 5/5.

Unfortunately, both our lobster mains were plated carelessly. Plating was not uniform for any serving of lobster that we saw going out. It was also too plain and too salty at the same time.

The lemon curd tart dessert was not set at all and was completely liquid. Beautifully made, but inedible aside from the crust, which was tasty. Disappointing for the price point we paid. We are open to come back for the regular menu and give it a try or have drinks.

Great atmosphere for a dinner date or a family event. Really good food and service. Was really impressed, my first and only time, food was good and quickly brought out by an attentive server, the lighting was cute and had that fancy/at home feel to it.

We ate at Café Notte tonight and were really impressed with the updates they’ve made. The place recently went through some renovations and rolled out a new menu, and you can tell a lot of thought went into both. The decor is beautiful—warm, inviting, and the new tables and chairs are both elegant and super comfortable.

The food was definitely the highlight. We started with the arancini and the fried zucchini—both were fantastic. The zucchini came with a lemon aioli that I could’ve eaten by the spoonful, and the arancini was perfectly crispy on the outside and packed with flavorful sausage and risotto on the inside.

For dinner, we had the chicken Milanese and the aglio e olio. The chicken was fried just right—crispy but not greasy—with a bright lemon sauce, capers, and garlic that pulled everything together. The aglio e olio was simple in the best way—lots of fresh garlic and just the right amount of cheese.

What also stood out, was the attention to detail and care from the staff. The chef/owner came out before we ordered to introduce himself and walk us through the menu, and then stopped back afterward to make sure we enjoyed everything. You can tell he takes a lot of pride in the food and the experience—he mentioned that everything is made fresh daily with farm-to-table ingredients, and it shows.

Our server was great too—super friendly, attentive, and had some great recommendations.

If you’ve been to Café Notte before, it’s definitely worth a return visit to see the new space and try the new menu. We’ll definitely be back again soon

I was introduced to Cafe Notte by a friend a few weeks ago, and I’m thrilled that I was. The ambiance is reminiscent of a charming little dark bar with a captivating mafia vibe. The food is outstanding, the atmosphere is awesome, and the fact that it’s family-owned adds a special touch. What more could you ask for? I highly recommend stopping by for dinner and indulging in a few cocktails or planning a romantic date night. It’s a solid 10/10 for me.

Great little spot! We went here with a large party, and loved almost all the food and the atmosphere. The food particularly was thoughtful, fresh, and delicious. They make all their pasta and bread from scratch!
The only downsides were: slower service than I’m accustomed to, and a louder space. Perhaps these were because it was a large party, or because it was busy. We also had one entree that we didn’t like, enough that we didn’t eat it, though everything else was delicious.
Would recommend, would go back! (Perhaps on a slower night I’d give it a five star.)

Really enjoyed our dinner here last night. Coming from out of state to see our son play hockey on nearby Neville Island and wanted Italian. Came upon two close places with the other byob(seemingly high corkage fees) and cash only. Very glad we chose this one(made reservations for a fri night). Upon entering we saw a gentleman sitting down and hostess lightly bantering. Thought it was just hostess and customer. Later, she revealed they were the owners. Was glad to hear this was our first time and explained the layout. She sat us in the Star Room(appropriately named) which she admitted was a bit loud, with the other two rooms being more quiet if that is preferred for next time. Star Room had a nice bar and real wood burning fireplace. Our server Maggie was very attentive and helpful with the menu. Started off with meatballs and mussels. Meatballs were good. Mussels themselves were so fresh tasting! The broth it came with was rather blandish but the mussels were so good, they would have been great without any seasoning. We had the orechiette w/sausage/broccolini, pasta fra diavolo and cavatelli arabiatta. All excellent! Had an excellent variety of desserts I really wanted to try but one in our party had to leave. Will definitely come back!

We’re new to the area so we weren’t sure what to expect. I got a Negroni to start which was solid then I ordered the short ribs with papardelle and my partner got the notte pasta (meatballs). My partner’s dish could have been a tiny bit hotter temperature-wise but mine came out perfect and I was really happy with the flavors and quality of ingredients for both dishes. We got the tiramisu for dessert which was a bit heavy on the chocolate syrup but delicious nonetheless. The owner came out to greet us during our meal which I love. Great experience, would go again.

What an enjoyable weekday evening out! With Pittsburgh Restaurant Week in full swing, this restaurant knows how to do it right! They’re offering a four-course meal exclusively for this week, ensuring customers don’t have to wait too long and their staff stays efficient. The food was delicious, and the service was perfectly friendly. As my friend said, this place is a hidden gem! So, next time you’re driving down Ohio River Blvd, make this your stop. Every dish we had was better than the last. Thank you to the team that evening for making our night out excellent. We will be back!

Lovely and intimate atmosphere! Ceiling has a captivating “starry” effect. Great staff and delicious food! Absolutely loved the Calamari, Duck Wings & Branzino

A bit of a dead zone unless maybe if you try using their guest wifi, and there are the occasional flies, but besides that still highly recommended

I went to Cafe Notte to celebrate a friend’s birthday during Restaurant Week. We hadn’t heard of it before, but the menu looked delicious. We were completely happy with all of the food, but especially the crab cakes, salmon, risotto, broccolini, and short ribs. The service was phenomenal! We’ll definitely come back to enjoy this special restaurant.
