I was on a road trip and saw Baja Tacos, it looked like a local restaurant so I decided to try it. The taco was amazing, also I ordered the combination burrito (beef and bean). The beans overpowered the beef, it tasted okay if you enjoy bean burritos. Overall, this was good and affordable food.

Local, long-time fast-food Mexican favorite and culinary landmark. This homegrown fast food establishment is generally near and dear to most locals. Don’t let the limited seating fool you. It’s the place to be. Locals that have moved away frequent the place on their visits home and the usual hometown crowd is always there. I’ve eaten at this place for 30 years. The frito pies (double it as a monster pie) are the specialty, but the softshell tacos, chimicangas and open faced chili burgers are among other faves of mine. I usually get tomatoes (have to ask for them) and extra onions on my frito pies and chili burger and extra hot hot sauce on the side.

Baja Taco is a local favorite for a reason! The food is fantastic with wonderful flavors and descent serving sizes for a very reasonable price. The people always greet with a smile and their service is fast. They can have a long line and knock it out in no time which is super nice during lunch breaks where time is limited! I love Baja Tacos!

The food reminds me of the original Taco Bell fare when I was a child in the 70s-80s. But better portions. I have been living in Sterling (20 miles NW of Sterling) for the last 4 years. I have never been able to get in Baja’s parking lot because they were so busy. That screams volumes. Attention LOCO Burrito! But it’s not just the food because c’mon it’s fast food, but the employees were kind, hardworking, and engaging. I walked out with a taco and combo burrito for $6. What a great value. I’m impressed, and my family and I will be back.
