Great food, minimal service – order on the touch screen and the food is brought out to you.
We ordered:
– Sambosa – good seasoning, potato curry puff. We liked this.
– Hummus and pita – it was okay. Nothing special.
– Chicken and beef kobideh – skewers of meat over a rice and salad platter. This was pretty good. I enjoyed the beef over the chicken. My husband liked both.
– Chicken and Lamb tikka – both over rice and salad platter. The chicken was cooked well but nothing special, but the lamb tikka was AMAZING. Favourite dish of the meal!

Would come back just for the lamb tikka! Get extra white sauce 🙂

Absolutely loved the Chicken Kobideh (very juicy and soft).
The Lamb Tikka was good too.
Was pleasantly surprised by the Chickpea side.
Naan and Brown Rice (which, in this case, means flavored and spiced) were amazing as well.

The food was fresh and delicious! We ordered the Kabuli Pulao with Lamb Shank, Sambosas, Chicken, and Lentil Soup. The green and white sauces were perfect.

The staff was friendly and our order was filled promptly, although we had to wait a bit.

I was fortunate to find a parking spot, but it might be challenging during peak hours.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I would revisit them when I’m visiting the area!

This place was fantastic! We were on a road trip and in a rush to reach our next destination, so we called ahead to place a dine-in order. Everything was ready the moment we arrived. The meats were tender, juicy, and full of flavor. If I lived closer, I’d be a regular here. The customer service was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and efficient. The only downside is that parking can be tricky, especially on busy weekends. Overall, a great spot for lunch and well worth the stop.

When you first walk thru the door, you can smell the fire grill so you know its gonna be right. We ordered the chicken & beef kobideh plate with 2 skewers, seasoned rice, salad, chick peas, pita and 2 sauces. Loved everything on the plate! I forgot to take a picture before we dove in so here’s a close up. We will definitely be back!!

This unexpected food find was super tasty and incredibly flavorful! We stopped to grab a quick bite and the single lamb platter we ordered was a full meal for two. The food came out hot and fresh and was brought to our table where we could scoop the scene on Main Street from our seats. Ariana Kabob is definitely a must try in Carytown. Thank you!!!

We had a wonderful experience for lunch today. The food was delicious, especially the Montu and the meat and the service was quick and friendly. This is certainly the best Afghan food in Richmond.

Avoid this place at all costs. They will overcharge you without telling you and then try to cover it up by claiming there’s some mysterious “second tax.” When I questioned the cashier about the price difference, he admitted he was simply told by the owner to say that to customers. That is blatantly dishonest and deceptive.

I ordered the Family Platter for 6, which is listed as $85.99 on their menu, but I was charged $89.43 before tax. After adding a legitimate tax of $12.07, my total came to $101.50—much higher than it should have been. When I asked for clarification, I was told there are “two types of taxes,” but the cashier couldn’t even explain what those were.

As for the food: extremely disappointing. The so-called “platter for 6” is basically a huge pile of rice with a few small skewers on top—tiny portions for the outrageous price of $103. To make things worse, the meat even had a bad smell.

This restaurant is a complete rip-off—dishonest pricing, poor value, and questionable food quality. I will never return, and I strongly recommend that others choose from the many better kabob restaurants in Richmond.

The Best kabobs we ever had! Tried their chicken tikka & ground chicken kabobs. Both were delicious. Rice was so fluffy, well done & flavorful. Chick peas side with bread was also excellent. If you are in Richmond, this place is a must try.
