Got their yummy chicken soup. Located inside Shell station store. As others have stated it is a to-go counter with no seating. A bit difficult to park since the station was pretty busy. Quick, efficient, friendly service. The soup has gone up in price (like everything else these days). Posting menu pics FYI

Best Mexican style chicken soup in San Diego county. Yes it is inside a gas station but don’t let that scare you away. Liquor store has a great selection of Liquor too. Lourdes has a sister restaurant in Encinitas and both are grrrrreat! Chicken rice soup is year round and will cure a cold by next day. Comes with your choice of tortillas and limes. Has a very mild spice, just enough to heal the throat. Easy right off the highway. Chicken is always nice breast meat, never any fatty pieces.

After having my carne asada burrito (see picture) here it seems the chicken soup and chicken flautas are the best things here. The chicken soup is always consistent here and delicious. You can go wrong with the rolled tacos or chicken flautas. As for the carne asada burrito I’d give it a hard pass. There is more tortilla than carne asada meat. As for dine-in there are no more tables here. It’s basically a take-out spot. Definitely call in your order as it gets heavily busy here.

Good service, nice ladies. Sadly though, the Cali burrito was one of the worst burritos I ever had. It was literally inedible, as I tossed a third of it away. I drove our, not cheap, order back to the hotel just across the street (4 minutes, plus 2 more to my room), and it was ice cold. I’m guessing because there was so much sour cream. I’ve had many Cali burritos and never had that on it. And I now know why. The thin fries, which should be warm and crispy, were cold, soggy, and oddly gritty. Adding insult to injury, there was very little carne asada. So, so disappointed… Meanwhile, the rice was fair, but the refried beans were tasteless. Bumping the stars from 1 to 2 because my wife reported her grilled chicken tacos were “pretty good.” Lastly, the overpriced chips, cheese, and guacamole, which I begrudgingly bought because I couldn’t get just a side of chips, were actually warm, plentiful, and tasty.

The lady in the front is so rude just because I asked a couple questions on what a California burrito came with as most places are different. Really bad service if you asked me. The one other location in escondido is a bit more friendly

Located inside the Shell convenient store. Ordered a California burrito. Kinda small, tasted fine. Not too long a wait. I’d come back to try something else.

Wow! What a good (Cali) burrito. And the green salsa is fire! I’d eat this all the time if it didn’t cost so much. “Inflation” is evil.

My credit card information was compromised. The last place that I used it was here. They waited exactly one week before charging my card.
Buyer beware!

Ok, it’s in a gas station but you have to try it. They’re chicken soup is a miracle cure when sick. Warm tortilla served with it, truly tastes like something grandma would make for you. Can’t sing it’s praises enough.
