Gives lots of lots of food. One order is almost like for 2-3 people. Taste is just meh, but i guess their strength is the quantity of the food.
Their spicy tuna with cheese gimbap was pretty dry, i asked for a mayo to dip it in because it was way too dry to be eaten by itself(or you can eat it with teokpokki but it gets pretty spicy). And then their teokpokki was pretty good(taste wise) with also very large portion. And I also ordered assorted fried set, and it was huuuge portion.
I went with my mom, so we have leftovers as a take-out which lasted two more days for us to finish.
The server did mention their portion is big, and he also corrected us when we were about to accidently order way more food than we expect, so super thankful for that.
One thing I really liked about this place is the interior; it’s a wide open space with clean/earthy feeling.
And the price is not that bad considering how much food you get.

Korean cuisine has a long and fascinating history that dates back thousands of years. The cuisine has been influenced by various cultures, including Chinese, Japanese, and Mongolian. The ancient Koreans were known for their agricultural skills and their use of fermented foods, which has had a lasting impact on Korean cuisine.

Although other East Asian cuisines such as Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese had long been popular in the US, Korean food has recently risen in popularity.

Located off of Bergen Turnpike in Little Ferry, this casual establishment serves Korean comfort dishes, and I came for lunch as a first-timer.

Upon entering Bunsiknara Plus, I got a table quickly inside a clean, well-lit, spacious, modern vibe and got a chance to speak with the owner.

The menu was diverse, consisting of multiple pages ranging from Tteokbokki, Kimbap, and Tonkatsu to LA Galbi Combo. There is definitely something for everyone. I decided on the quick meal of Pork Tonkatsu (돈가스) which was hammered thin, making it larger and thinner to maximize the meat and crispiness.

Complimentary Banchan consisting of kimchi, pickled radishes, and salad began the meal.

The food was bold, complex, and delicious, using a range of spices, herbs, and other fresh ingredients. The special sauce luckily came separately to avoid being soggy. As is common in many other Asian countries, a bowl of rice is of central importance and anchors the entire meal. The portions were huge, and the price was reasonable. The service was quick and professional.

I could recommend this place.

FEEL GOOD KOREAN FOOD This restaurant is clean, spacious, modern, and serves delicious food. We had the cold noodles, black noodles, and udon All the noodles were great and so were the dumplings But the star of the show is the katsu. Specifically the one with cheese inside, even if you can’t decide… just get one to share with everyone as a taste. Amazing restaurant! Highly Recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really don’t understand how this is considered a $30 combo. Two pieces of tonkatsu were missing, the meat was extremely thin, and the portions were way smaller than expected. Opening this was honestly frustrating.

This is not what you expect when you pay $30 for a combo. Very disappointing.

Excellent quality food. The food came out quick. The staff was amazing and very helpful. Casual, relaxing cafe-like atmosphere.

At first, I thought it was expensive for good Korean food but that’s because some of the orders on the menu are very large. Some things like the Combo specials can serve 2-3 people! It would be helpful if they had an option for a smaller combo size. Either way it’s worth taking the leftovers home.

We ordered a lot of food to try but you can easily spend less than $12 here and get a delicious full entree. For two people, we tried the Tteokbokki, the fish katsu and tonkatsu Combo, two different bimbimbap rolls (the menu has two pages of different bimbimbap…), and tofu soup. I was surprised that at how good each item was. It was definitely enough for a few people to share.

My only concern here is that this restaurant gets too popular and they jack up the prices. They just opened and I’m not sure if they’ll stay the same. I hope the menu and prices remain affordable.

Totally worth the visit. Will return with friends and family.

I love this place.

Bunsiknara Plus opened a few months ago in Little Ferry. Walking in late afternoon, I loved the decor. The establishment was bright with light shade, some real plants and fake ones around, and the crisp look between white walls and wood look. Spacious, some tvs in the back set at no volume. Ambiance was peaceful.

I had a Fish Udon noodles soup. Udon and fish balls were good. My husband had the omelette and rice (asked for no meat). Waitress actively came around, was not busy the time we came around 4pm. All payments accepted, plenty of parking is available.

Saw that a new place opened by the HMart in Little Ferry so we had to try them!

They have a modern spacious space, it’s bright and open. You don’t feel crowded by other parties.

Service was good. The lady was polite. Just got to the point of ordering.

As with all Korean restaurants, they bring out Banchan once you are seated. We got a salad, pickled radish/turnip (wasn’t really sure what it was) and kimchi. Salad was ok, I needed more dressing lol We didn’t like the pickled radish/turnip what ever it was, it was too sweet… Kimchi was good.

Fried Shrimp with Chili Sauce was good. Shrimp was crispy and seasoned that you didn’t need the sauce. But the sauce was so good. And what a big bowl of it! We were like did it come with soup? LOL The chili sauce was not as spicy as I was expecting. It’s almost like a lightly spicy, sweet and sour sauce. It did pair well with the shrimp. The bed the shrimp laid on, I thought was fried noodles tasted like potato straws and with chili sauce was really good.

I originally went in going to order the tofu stew as I needed something soft after a dental procedure but when I saw the Gamjatang (Pork Back Bone Soup) on the menu I had to try it. It was a delicious choice! The pork was falling off the bones and the soup was so flavorful. It was a special, but I hope it becomes a permanent menu item. Because on a cold winter day, this would so hit the spot!

Short Arm Octopus and Pork platter was sizzling! Flavorful and spicy. Hubby’s only complain was they put too much onions. I love onions so more for me!

Definitely will be coming back for more!
