I was given plastic utensils to struggle tackling a giant burrito that was drenched with a very clearly microwaved queso with nuke markings. I would say one of the worst Mexican food services I’ve ever encountered. Surprised people stoop this low.

Good Tacos but kinda pricey. – I had no clue this place was here. No street signs, nothing but in terms of Mexican food spots in uptown that are good, there are not too many within walking distance for a lunch break. I ordered La Mexicana Tacos Steak (3) topped with lettuce, cheese and sour cream and comes with a small (Ramekin size) side of rice and beans. It’s a decent amount for a single person. They weren’t cheap on the meat either. So all good there. Flavor was good. They offer 2 sauces. Verde (suppose to be spicy but I didn’t think so) and the salsa. I didn’t like the salsa. The flavor was off to me. I think they can improve and definitely offer something with more heat! It was $14.99 for the tacos, $3 for the soda, taxes a service charge and I did opt for the tip $3.24 bringing my total cost to just over $24! Minus the tip still $21! I think this place has potential for sure. The verde sauce as good and the food was good. I think if they can get the cost down to about $10, and heat the sauce you’ll see lines out the door.

I’m new to Charlotte and have “door dashed” from here and ordered at the calendar. The food is prepared fresh, has very good flavor and the staff was very friendly. My new favorite Mexican food!
