At our New Albany, MS location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

This was my first time at this location and I will not go back. We placed an order for three people, and we waited over 30 minutes. We have no idea why it took so long but we were not the only people waiting. One customer who was ahead of us requested a refund because the wait was so long. The staff did not proactively share that it would be a wait time and considering we were in the drive through it would have been good to know. After the long wait, the portions were small, not all the items were fresh and they neglected to provide condiments or cutlery. Overall it was decent but not worth the extended wait.

My wife and I had a very enjoyable supper today. She had the 2-pc catfish filet and I had the herd and garlic shrimp with 1 filet. The really enjoyable part was being treated way better than most typical counter help. We’ll be back!

Placed an order in the drive through. Sat in line for 17 minutes before I decided to just leave. That is ridiculous. I was second in line and the line never moved even one time in 17 minutes.
Owner is going to respond and say “this isn’t the standard we aim for” but it apparently is. Read the reviews, there are plenty that mention the egregious wait times.

It was tiny pieces of fish. Me and my husband got 2 plates with 2 pieces of fish, it was over $ 27.00. It is not worth all that money for 2 tiny pieces of fish.

Placed an online order. I knew they would be busy so I showed up to pickup about 10 mins after my order was to be ready. I go inside and am told I’ll have to wait because they haven’t even started on it. As I sat and waited for the next 25 minutes I quickly realized why! Rude to the customers, staff openly bickering in front of the customers, general lack of courtesy and preparedness all around. Then I was told they were out of an item I ordered. I told them I had already paid online and was told by management “I can’t do anything about that”. What a joke!

Someone needs to tell this place they are a fast food joint not a sit down takes over 1/2 hr to get our food. Kept serving the drive thru not the patrons inside.
