The food was horrible. I left what was on my plates mostly uneaten. The chicken was dry and overcooked. The sausage was way over cooked and soggy. There was hair in the cornbread. They had no brisket, no burnt ends. I love small BBQ places as a resident of Texas. This place? Maybe it was an off night. But it doesn’t cut it. I would steer away and find somewhere else.
People seem super nice.
Just quality of food is trash.
And 2.99 for a can of soda is out of this world expensive.

Cute little eat-in BBQ joint- bottled drinks, no alcohol but the wine bar will do to-go cups if you’re eating here (so stop there 1st!)
Had the pulled pork and brisket and both were so moist and flavorful you don’t even need the BBQ sauce….
which thank goodness because i wasn’t a fan of them. the regular sauce tasted too much like ketchup to me.

Stopped in to have some lunch while visiting the lego store and we were blown away with their selection and of course taste. We will be back and i highly recommend eating here. Dave the owner is on hand and is a very welcoming person

Amazing place! Not only was the food amazing, and for how much I got for the price, but the people were too! Such great service and such nice people. The cornbread and butter have to be my favorite haha. Definitely gonna be a regular spot! (Didn’t include picture of all the sides)

I placed a order for 3 pulled pork sandwiches for takeout. When I came there was a old guy in a dirty apron bagging food with no shoes on! If I knew this is never would have ordered. He was wondering around behind the counter again with no shoes on! I left my phone at home or would have taken a picture. I assume he’s a manager or owner. If that’s the case no wonder there weren’t many people in there. Be better! Food was good atleast

Welcoming BBQ to Zelienople!
We had an excellent first meal at Pappy’s BBQ on a snowy winter Saturday.
Located right off of Main street, when you find Papa Joe’s Wine Cellar you’ll walk back onto Spring Street and you’ll find the entrance to the restaurant slightly back and to the left! Plenty of street parking nearby or can leverage one of the Zelie parking lots.
The building is renovated beautifully with tall ceilings, bright lights and a decent amount of tables/seating (both high top and on the ground) with the ordering counters right up front. They even have two large TVs in either corner to watch the game.
The menu is pretty extensive, you’ll decide what you want to eat and order/pay up front before finding your seat. They’ll bring your order to your table, and ours was delivered to us quickly.
We enjoyed the brisket sandwich (not pictured) and mac & cheese with an add of the burnt ends, The Mimi (with dark meat chicken, pulled pork, with cheesy bacon hashbrowns and cornbread as sides) and everything was incredibly delicious! Nothing was dry or dense, portions were nicely sized and everything was fresh. They offer two BBQ sauce options table-side, a tangy mustard sauce and sweet house sauce, both that we enjoyed.
So happy to have another quality local option for dining out and can’t wait to come back!

My wife and I were going to eat here yesterday, but we ended up just getting Mac and cheese for our daughter. While I can’t comment on the food I can AND WILL comment about the disgusting, vile, and vulgar language I heard that will prohibit me from using the rest of my gift card.
While we were seated I heard the woman at the counter say something to the fella working in the back along the lines of “did you fart”. Really not the thing I wanna be hearing in a PLACE OF FOOD SERVICE IN FRONT OF PAYING CUSTOMERS.
Moments later someone calls on the phone and asks for more marbling in their steaks. As soon as they hung up the same woman made a comment to the fella in the back making fun of the caller to which the fella in the back replied with something along the lines of “does he want me to take a closer look at the cow’s ass”
Really unprofessional atmosphere. Another customer walked in and asked how business was to which the woman behind the counter responded with “slow”. Her reasoning for the slow season was the time of the year, but I beg to differ.
I can only imagine what was said about us when we got up to leave. We stopped in about forty five minutes before closing so I’m sure the comments flew once we left.
Really hard to believe people act like this – I don’t see this establishment staying open long at this pace.

So this is the second time we have ordered from here. Same order as the first time but this time the smoked brisket was like leather, the tacos 10/10. The Mac and cheese amazing but the coleslaw and baked beans no flavor at all. The BBQ sauce that was on the side absolutely amazing. The first time we ordered everything was so good this time very disappointing. I will order one more time with it being the third time for the tie breaker.

The smoked chicken wings were delicious. Brisket was flavorful but very dry. Was not a fan of their beans but the cornbread was stellar.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, definitely the reason to go back.
