We finally got around to try this new steakhouse where the old Eastside Bistro used to be at, and have mixed reviews about our dining experience.
First, the place definitely got a nice and beautiful face-lift, with an open house Concept. It has a nice decor and a pretty bar to sit at.
For the food, it was truly hit or miss starting with the appetizers. The deviled eggs were delicious, and the Brussels sprouts tasted good, but definitely undercooked/crunchy. The artichoke dip had too much mayo in it.
For the main courses, the wings and burgers were a great hit, but the ribeye steaks were all over the place. From undercooked, to overcooked, not well seasoned, and one was so thin and rubbery, that it was not edible.
Service was 5 stars all around, as our server Brandon was a fantastic host, with a great personality, and extremely attentive. The owner Charles was also super nice and friendly.
But, if youre going to charge $45-$50 for a sub average steak, thats not good at all. But my biggest complaint would be the outrageous overpriced wine, as I can’t believe they’re charging $72 for a Gambiano pinot grigio that sells for $8.99 in stores and tastes ok at best.
The place definitely has potential, but Charles needs to do something about pricing. Our party of 10 people have been living here in Avalon for over 10 years, and all agree on this.

Customer service was fantastic!

We went in last night for some drinks and dessert. We were pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere. The owner came over and introduced himself, he was nice and down to earth. We are excited because Avalon needed another upgraded restaurant. I also recommend the Margarita. If you’re looking for a chill atmosphere you should check it out.

Just tried this new restaurant and had such a great experience! Angelique was our server and she was wonderful – attentive, warm, and made us feel welcome right away. The mac and cheese and truffle fries were absolutely amazing (comfort food done right), the steak was cooked perfectly, and the burger was excellent… juicy, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Everything we ordered was spot on.
