Visited on New Year night for dinner with a group of five friends. We tried the boneless chicken biryani, goat biryani, and paneer. Unfortunately, everything was tasteless and lacked authentic Indian biryani flavour and the chicken wasn’t cooked or seasoned well.

We were very hungry, so we ate the food, but it didn’t feel like proper Indian at all. Overall, it felt like a waste of money. We did share this feedback with the staff, but nothing really came out of it.

Historically, I’ve not been unhappy with my experience at Sankrati; today’s performance, unfortunately, was not excusable.

Many reviews mention the small portion size, and though I used to agree, recently they have been more generous with the proteins in particular. Make no mistake; this is not ‘giving back to the customer’ but rather a continued attack on the consumer by sacrificing ingredient quality. Chicken tonight was bland and extremely dry. Upon taking a piece which seemed juicier, it was clear the meat suffered in the vacuum tumbling process and its muscle fibers were porous and completely decomposed, leaving a squishy, pumice-like husk which tasted utterly disgusting and looks equally so.

The Mango Lassi might be the only thing worth getting anymore. I regret to leave this review but after this experience I find it hard to justify Sankrati Kitchen.

I visited this place for food, and I must say the experience was amazing. The food was delicious, the staff were very welcoming, and the hosting was excellent. The ambience is pleasant and well maintained, which made the visit even better. The pricing is very reasonable compared to other restaurants, especially considering the quality of food and service. I would definitely recommend this place and would be happy to visit again.

I will never recommend this place to any body. They just named “Sankranti” which is a Telugu word and the food does not even taste like one. While eating paneer, it felt as if I’m eating some kind of rubber. Mango Lassi had more sugar than the mango itself.

I tried the paneer tacos here, loved the taste of the tacos though I would like it if they’d make it on naan and not lacha parathas ( just my suggestion ) on the base of the tacos. The paneer veggie bowl taste delicious too. Loved the crunchy peas on the top, very creative bowl menu. The mango lassi taste delicious though couldn’t taste cardamom in it which was mentioned in the ingredients list. I’d recommend this place to everyone.

Personal experience, I was out walking and exploring Indian food when I came across this place and decided to try it. I ordered mutton biryani, chicken 65, and gulab jamun.

The taste was decent, but the portions were very small they didn’t even fill me up halfway. I thought about reordering, but for the price it just didn’t feel worth it. They even charged 6 dollars for a single gulab jamun ‍♂️.

Honestly, the taste isn’t bad, but the quantity is definitely a disappointing. If you just want to try the flavors and don’t mind leaving hungry, this spot might work for you. I personally never went back after that visit.

I wanted to give 2.5 stars but since that’s not an option, I went with 2.

Note: Writing this review late, I visited on Oct 11th, 2025 at around 7 PM, and I still remember the experience clearly.

Fantastic place to dine in or get take out. Love the staff here, they’re so welcoming and make you feel appreciated as a customer. Will definitely be coming back here. Make sure to give them a try if you’re in the mood for Indian food.

The food here is pretty decent, although the few times I’ve bought from here it’s been kind of cold. The prices are way too high, however. For a small portion of rice and chicken, it’s $16 and a small thing of chicken biriyani is literally more than $20–not to mention 2 samosas are $7!! Real Indian restaurants have better prices than this. The amount of food you get isn’t enough to fill you up (they barely fill it to the top) and it’s outrageously expensive.

This place is amazing. The portion size is small, especially for the somewhat expensive prices. The food is really good thought , and the mango lassi is the cherry on top. Robin and shubom have amazing customer service and I always love when they are there.

First timer : wanted to give a 3.5 but gave 4 !

To start with , fantastic location. Pretty close to GTech and right next to few other shops …. Parking is difficult . We had to park few blocks away and pay for it .. They have very few seats indoor and few outdoors. Was very cold today and had to sit indoor.. only 4 families can sit in. Hope they can put more tables / chairs indoors …

Food was ok . For this location, getting Indian food was great but it was less Indian and more American food . Everything was sweet catering to locals . Veggie bowl was ok. We got 2 bowls and both tasted OK . The rice was a bit dry .. paneer was good . 10$ for a bowl wasn’t bad . Price wise it was cheaper than other big Indian restaurants. Good for students to have a bowl, once in a while . Overall average food and fantastic for students !
