My last visit to New Direction was deeply unsettling. While sitting at the bar and watching the band, I was suddenly and without any provocation, physically assaulted by another patron. I was punched in the face. The most shocking part of the incident was the management’s response (who also worked at Blind Squirrel). Instead of addressing the assault or ensuring my safety, the General Manager chose to have me removed from the premises. I was treated as the problem despite being the victim of an unprovoked attack. I cannot in good conscience recommend a venue where customer safety is not a priority.

A couple weeks ago finally got to see a local band. Mixed crowd mostly thirty, and forty something’s. The Juke Box Heroes provided some great music. Dancing would have been more enjoyable if there wasn’t so many people just sitting and watching. During the bands break good playlist of songs kept people dancing. Definitely will return and see if this atmosphere is the norm

All kinds of cool events and bands, also has fantastic bar food they dont try and over complicate. Great out door seating and the wife loves the electronic slots, so all and all a win win.

We saw a great band there. Atmosphere was fun with pool tables and slot machines (Shirley’s Way). Drinks prices were great before the band started.

Great place for a weekend dance and gamble, live music. bathrooms need a serious refresh and hourly check. But overall good place for fun. Didn’t eat so hard to gove a score. However the plates I seen looked good.

Staff are great. Prices are great. It’s by work which is great. Edit: And the food is good. Double cheeseburger was good and cheaper than a lot of places. Mac and cheese bites were much better than I expected and the pretzel bites were basically pretzel breadsticks and came with beer cheese. All very good. Next I’ll take the kids home a pizza when I leave
