If you visit Cherokee and want a good breakfast, don’t let the fact that this place is attached to a gas station fool you. The food here is amazing. A hopping place, so be ready for a short wait, but ut’s worth it. I recommend the Kitcjen Sink plate. If nothing else, the biscuits are worth stopping for.

When I first saw the building I was so apprehensive because it’s connected to a gas station. Due to the high reviews I took a risk and tried it. When I first walked in I was confused and was not sure if we sat and ordered or ordered at the front. I saw someone else order so I ordered. The cashier was really sweet.
When my chicken biscuit was brought to the table I was shocked at the size! I mean, it was huge and delicious. I can’t wait to return and wish I had came sooner. 10/10 recommend. Food was delicious and the restaurant was busy but clean.

Everything about Mabel’s Kitchen is amazing. The food was amazing and filling. It truly felt like grandmas cooking. The environment was open and inviting. Towards the end of our time, one of the owners came to talk to us and told us how they got started and invited us back. Everyone is very friendly and we will be returning!

We like going to Mabel’s for breakfast when we are visiting Cherokee for the weekend. The portions are big, the food is flavorful, and the service is good! We will definitely be back.

I’ve only had the food to go via Door dash, so I really can’t comment on the service or Atmosphere. I’ve been waiting for this place to open since I saw the sign it was coming. This place int he end rising star for DELICIOUS and the breakfast food in the Sylva area. Don’t get me wrong. Other local places are good. And each have their high lights. But Mabel’s hands down has the best like it’s made at home breakfast food ice had in a long time. Their hashbrown casserole is a hearty a delicious accompaniment to the best (cornmeal I have think) pancakes that are the only ones I’ve had that can begin to compare to my mother in-law’s mountain fried flapjacks. Been a long time since I’ve seen someone that offers fried bologna as a side and it’s seared to perfection. I highly recommend their food.

What a hidden gem. We both said Best breakfast we have had in a long time. The smoked bacon is unbelievable. Service was great. I didn’t see exactly what I wanted in a platter but was able to order just the things I was. Do not pass on the hash browns either. Biscuits are huge!!! Husband said the steak was outstanding!

A great little place to eat. They even have a drive thru that was full the whole time we were eating. Food was great.

Went through the drive thru, about 9 am Wed morning. Donut holes were burnt and they barely had any flavor. The biscuit and gravy was okay, but not the thick, country gravy I’m used to. My husband and I asked for iced coffee, and they were out. We settled for reg. coffee with cream and sugar, but when we got the coffee it was black. Service left a lot to be desired. Will not come again.
