I’m guessing it was about 14 years ago i was in LaGrange working on addition to power plant. Star Bar was my wife and I place to go. From the first day till we left LaGrange the folks welcomed us. I would like to give a shout out to the butcher shop there also. Fantastic BBQ on Saturday but you better had gotten there early. I would enjoy retiring and settling there.

Super friendly place! Everyone is welcome. Service is great! Cash only. They even have fresh yard eggs at a really reasonable price.You can also buy jams, jellies and homemade noodles. If you are in La Grange, TX you have to stop in. It is so worth it. Sandra, Melanie and Becky are wonderful and can give you lots of info on places to go in the area.

LOCAL ONLY BAR! The definition of cliquish! The bartender and patrons are disrespectful to non locals who aren’t into childish, cliquey games. NOT a place for women who take pride in their appearance and want to enjoy a beer alone in peace. I was referred to as a “working girl” and the put of the jokes the entire time I was there. Apparently the blonde bartender didn’t like the way I ordered my beer, so she didn’t offer me an oversized koozie for my beer. I am a happily married woman and have my own money. I’m in town visiting my mother and wanted to unwind. When I left Lambert ASSUMED what they were saying was the problem. That’s not the case. I left for the same reasons I left Fayette County 10 years ago. I am open minded. I don’t gossip. I know people who put others down to make themselves look better have major issues with themselves and it’s not about me. I am not like small town people. The longer I’m away from the area, the less I return because of the people. I needed to be reminded how they really are. Sad crowd!!

This Place was awesome. Didnt hve cash, just card. One of the regulars bought me my first round. The bartender melony gave me directions to the closest atm. Me and my girk went back to buy dude his beer and he had left for the casino. We proceeded to have a couple more beers and bought Chilly one round for buying ours. Great place, great people. #legrange
