On my travels from Palm Springs back to Santa Maria I stopped to grab something to eat and found this Waba Grill. We don’t have them on the Central Coast and we used to eat at the one on Palm Springs so I stopped here. The place is in a fairly new looking center just of the 10 Freeway. It’s super clean and the staff was very kind and welcoming .
I ordered the Mini Bowl Combo with the Sweet and Spicy Chicken. It was delicious and for my side dish I got the Dumplings! Delicious as well. Cooked perfectly. Generous portions, more than I can eat in 3 settings.
The thing I just love the best are the sauces! Super flavorful!
The sweet lady who waited on me was so helpful since there offerings are different from years back, see was very patient with me making changes. She brought my food out to me and that was very nice.
I highly recommend this place for a really good meal, the chicken was flavorful and cooked perfect and tender.

I usually never post negative reviews of restaurants, but today’s experience left me needing to leave one. After many years as a loyal customer since this location opened, I will no longer be returning and will gladly take my business elsewhere. Despite my history of ordering large family meals, I was met with extreme rudeness today from an older woman worker when I requested alternative sauces. I am disappointed that after years of consistent patronage, a simple request resulted in such poor customer service and a refusal to accommodate without extra charges.

Want to say I love the food here. The lady at the counter was super sweet…That said it is inexcusable to have one person working the register, taking orders AND preparing the food. Do better Waba Grill, do better. Again, zero reflection on the lady working…she was wonderful…but lunchtime on 12/13/25 she was completely alone. Not cool.

Literally only two people in the store (me and another customer).
I literally said lm allergic to waba sauce / teriyaki sauce and yall still put it on my bowl… this the second time yall done did this.

The employees tonight at Waba Grill were friendly and professional. I arrived 15 from closing due to my odd hours in retail had to grab a healthy dinner. I was grateful for their customer service and patience. The food was delicious and well handled.

I love wanna grill but was very disappointed tonight. I got the wabba bowl with chicken and beef. My chicken was very overcooked and dry, and so was the beef. The cashier only gave us three packets of wabba sauce and I didn’t realize they charge for hot sauce or the other sauces. I am not sure I will go back to this location just because of how over cooked the food was.
