The best tacos in the state in my opinion. I live in Richmond and grew up in northern Virginia and lived in Texas for three years, and these tacos are still my favorite, honestly by a long shot. I’ve been coming here since before they bought the new truck and before desayuna opened (the brick and mortar.) This review is long overdue.

I generally get four tacos, and go with Al pastor, carnitas, chori/pollo, and either asada, lengua, cabeza, or birria. All are amazing. I add cilantro and onions and queso fresco and then hit them with both the red and green sauces (the red has some kick and the green is incredible.) I’ve also had delicious quesadillas, but I haven’t ventured out much because the tacos hit so good.

Makes me miss working in Charlottesville but I’ll definitely hit up Tacos Gomez anytime I’m passing through the area, or even make a special trip to Charlottesville to “see friends” (eat tacos.) Don’t pass this place up, it’s truly special.

Delicious, plain and simple. Chorizo anything girl and theirs does not disappoint. Service can get backed up at times, so if you do not have time to wait, I would order ahead, which is a very appreciated option. Nonetheless, its busy for a reason, the counter is always friendly and the food is awesome. Always a good taco option! Love their spicy sauces as well- if you dont like spice, id skip because theyre all on the spicy side.

Hands down, best tacos in town. Legit. You can get cabeza, lengua, and your traditional cuts here. If you’re lucky you’ll get there when they have Bachata on the speakers.

Not worth the hype. Don’t know how they got 5 stars! Ordered the birria tacos and flautas. Birria taco shells were dipped in consumme or fried on flat top. They didn’t even give consumme with them. I had to go back and ask for it. Flautas were mediocre. I expected more with a 5 star rating!

A good little food truck. We got the 4 taco for 13 bucks meal. Not a bad deal for a food truck, but also nothing stands out about the tacos. Good tacos is good tacos for sure, but I love the little extra that these seem to lack. Great service. Good hot sauce. Good place right outside to eat your meal. I dug the atmosphere and the awesome lady taking orders. No worries about eating there again. If I’m in the neighborhood I’m gonna try some other menu item because I think it’s worth a shot. Definitely check em out and see what you think.!

It’s a food truck and sell really good tacos. The price is 4 taco for $11 which is not bad.
I can’t remember the names of those because I asked they to pick for me, but I remember there is one with beef tongue which is special and good.
The red sauce is super spicy. The onion and lime are very fresh.
Will be back to try more items on the menu.

BEST TACOS I’VE EVER HAD!! If you are in Charlottesville, these are a must have. Their al pastor tacos are so flavorful and refreshing at the same that if I didn’t stop myself I would probably eat like 50 and then pass away. Their tacos are also a good size and 4 make a solid dinner and you can get that many for $10 so a very good deal as well! Those working the truck are also very kind and friendly!

A hidden spot off the highway, make sure to look out for their truck. They have a significant selection of items on their menu – sandwiches, tacos, and more. They also have Jarritos for those of you who are fans. Pretty inexpensive ($2.50 per taco). Their tacos are pretty straightforward – small, no frills, just meat, onions and cilantro, but you also have the option of adding cheese.

I got one taco al pastor, and one with carne asada – both with cheese. They have two types of salsa – red and green. Red is very spicy, and their green salsa, which is more mild, is still quite spicy if you wanted no spice. I enjoyed the tacos – not oily, well cooked, and quick turnaround time. They take card and Apple Pay at the truck as well. I will likely come back, and would recommend it to a friend.
