We love Portland ale house. My kids love drawing on the paper table covers. Free popcorn and an ice cream sandwich with their meal. I love that they have a great rotating draft list and all the food ive had is great. My favorite are rhe burgers.

We had Hunter as our server, and he was a charming young man who made our experience even better. His service was excellent from start to finish—attentive, friendly, and professional without being overbearing. The food was delicious and came out promptly, and everything was prepared just right. The atmosphere was welcoming and enjoyable, making it a great place to relax and have a meal. The restaurant itself was very clean and well maintained, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was a great experience, and we will definitely be back again.

We encountered great decor, great beer, fabulous food, and the amazing Wendy who took care of all our needs! We thoroughly enjoyed the Shepherd’s pie and French dip sandwich. I can’t wait to go back to try more from the menu and hang out!

Sunday evening for dinner with friends. Nice atmosphere. Able to have a conversation at the table. Good service. Server is able to talk about the menu, answer questions, friendly yet professional. Attentive. Food is cooked fresh so a slight wait because we didn’t order apps. BUT cooked to order so it’s hot and what you ordered and flavorful. Hamburger salad is a great choice. The patty is 10oz, plenty for a meal with a nice fresh salad.
We would return and recommend.

Good number of beers on tap. Friendly atmosphere. Homey decor. I had a wrap which was pretty good. On another occasion I had the nachos, which were – by far – the worst I’ve ever had in my sorry life. Paying good money for those awful nachos made me feel violated. I guess I’ll get over it eventually. Will probably go back and try something else because, in general, I like the place.

Came here with my visiting family from NJ, and all of us enjoyed our meal. Service was friendly and attentive, food was very good, and the place was very clean.
Do yourself a favor. Get the fig and brie burger. Good beer selection, and desserts are nice as well.

This place was great! Beer was fresh, food was good, atmosphere was fun and Anastasia was a great server! The homestyle meatloaf was solid, shepherds pie could have used a little more seasoning but it was good, the fish and chips were perfectly cooked! We will definitely be back!

Came here with friends after the fireworks show in Middletown. The first thing I noticed was that the outside of the restaurants was illuminated with lights. Also, there were a few seats outside. The inside of the establishment is small but cozy. You will see the bar once entering. At the time, it was not busy. My group needed a table for 7 people, but the staff seemed to struggle to get us seated. Once we were finally seated, complimentary popcorn was given to our table. We order food, drinks, and dessert. I forgot to catch images of the food, but the nachos can easily be shared. The Warm Belgium Waffle was delicious, and the ribs were a bit dry. In addition, I heard the mac and cheese was good. The waiter easily separated our bill. The kitchen is open until 10 pm on the weekday and 11 pm on the weekend.

My wife and I have been wanting to come here ever since it opened. Seeing they had fried mushrooms made it a MUST! They had a nice assortment of beer taps and plenty of seating at the bar as well as tables. We had to start with the fried mushrooms and they were super yummy; a little salty, but still very tasty. I ordered the ale house burger and my wife ordered the bacon avocado burger on/as a salad (no bun). My burger was great and my wife’s salad was fantastic. We plan on going back very soon!

What a good spot! We were exploring in the area and decided to stop in for lunch. I love a good pub and all it has to offer and this place did not disappoint. Mixed drinks were good, good was banging, and staff was super sweet. Guessing it was the owner but, he carried a conversation with us, was very nice, made some suggestions for my gluten sensitivity, which was an excellent choice mind you. And further checked in to make sure we were happy. Good spot if you’re in the area for sure!
