This may be a first for me. Not only our first time in Cafe Maurice at 9747 E 21st street N, but the first time ever, for me, that I can’t find even one negative.
The food is delicious! My wife had the Tilapia, I had Beef Marcela and both couldn’t have been better. That is quite unusual for me. Normally I find ingredients in the mashed potatoes or the sauce or Something that needs improvement. Not tonight.
Maria, our waitress, was delightful and attentive.
The atmosphere was quiet enough for low conversation, yet the piped in piano jazz was great!
Ok. My wife reminds me of a flaw that doesn’t apply to every couple: They don’t have a senior, or military, discount – which doesn’t mar this review, but would have been icing on the cake.
All I can say is, come expecting the best.

The red-headed server was very friendly and observant, did a great job, unfortunately her body spray / perfume was extremely overpowering. Every time she came to the table I would smell chemicals from the body spray / perfume she uses. I’m not sure if that dampened the taste of the food as the entree was not very appetizing to me. They do give you large portions though and the salad was delicious.
The dessert was ok
The music was a little loud too, I do not recommend this place if you are sensitive to smells and sound. But if you are not, give it a try because they might surprise you.

I came in during my break from work and I was quite happy with my choice today! Maria, I believe was her name, was very nice and attentive. I got the Tilapia Platter which was a very hearty meal considering I hadn’t eaten all day. I did however notice the rice had a “in a bag” like look to it but I understand that this is a restaurant trying to serve their patrons quickly, and it was delicious so I didn’t mind. After my belated lunch, I got a mini tiramisu to finish off the meal and not only was it what I felt was priced correctly, it was creamy and the ladyfingers were unbelievably moist. Overall, 9.5/10. I would bring a date here.

High marks!! Mid-upscale and intimate Mediterranian cuisine. Soft mood-music and cool tone decor provided a relaxed, yet proper atmosphere. Excellent food and service. Started with the Spinach Pie appetizer, served with plain Greek Yogurt, which was surprisingly tasty and baked to perfection. Entree was the Vegetable Curry. Sauteed vegetables were spot-on, not over-cooked, and the coconut milk based cream curry was delightful, all served over a bed of rice. Delicious and filling. Reasonable pricing and generous portions. Owner, Theresa, personally came by the table to ensure if everything was satisfactory… a very nice touch. The selection of eclairs were enticing, but there just wasn’t room. Next time, for sure.

Tonight was my second visit here- the first was with my work group for lunch. Both times were deliciously delightful! My husband hasn’t had much exposure to Mediterranean food, but the food here impressed him. Our waitress was helpful and friendly, our meal was delivered with timeliness, and the owner came around to each table to welcome and thank each guest, enquiring of their meal. We will be back!

We had a lovely lunch at Cafe Maurice. Our server Rachel was knowledgeable about gluten free and dairy free options. Hummus with the veggie plate is fantastic, and highly recommend the mixed grill kabobs.

I absolutely love this place with my whole heart. I have been going here since they opened and have not once had a bad dish here. I probably go here once a week that’s how much I love it. Would recommend anything. Great service nice people and great food. I’ve had it catered for my birthday and many other events.

My mom and I stopped there for what we call “Linner”, it’s a late lunch or an early dinner. I had a cup of their beef vegetable soup, my mom had a bowl of tomato soup, and we shared the beef hummus shawarma with a side of fresh veggies. Everything tasted fine although I could have used more seasoning for my food. The service was impeccable! The young lady hostess/server was friendly greeting us when we walked in and continued with her cheerful attitude throughout our stay and extended her friendliness and cheerfulness to every customer that walked in the door. The atmosphere is pleasant and I would definitely recommend a brunch with loved ones or get together with friends. They even serve a complimentary piece of tiramisu at the end of the meal as a nice little surprise!!!

After days of driving and enough fast food to make me sick, we settled into a nearby hotel and I looked for something REAL. The Café Maurice food photos in google maps looked so delicious, and I needed quality. I was not disappointed. I wanted so many things on the menu I could only wish we weren’t just passing through – if I lived here I’d come back frequently. We started with an appetizer of cabbage rolls, they were excellent. I decided on vegetable soup and Greek salad because my stomach craved fresh. Everything I had was wonderful. My husband had a burger with Swiss, ham, and an abundance of cabbage slaw on toasted bun, and he loved it. The complimentary tiramisu was a perfect ending. How nice! Our server Maria was very attentive and friendly. Overall we could not have been more pleased with everything.
