Fantastic fresh and tasty seafood. Having read the reviews we expected good things and were not disappointed. Salt and pepper cockles were delicious, crisp and savoury. Calamari was tasty and tender (there are not many places in the UK that make fried squid on a par with Greece!). Chips and fried prawns also really good. Super fresh and tasty seafood, prompt service, and great value. I’d recommend getting here not too late. A few minutes after we received our order they announced they had sold out of calamari (a good sign in many ways, they have good fresh produce and aim to sell it all).

Just a walk down the prom at mumbles, stumbled across Gower seafood hut and glad we did. Absolutely beautiful food and amazing service. We had the prawns in homemade chilli jam with skins on fries!!

Great little place for a quick lunch or dinner. Everything was freshly cooked and delicious. I’ve never eaten cockles, but really enjoyed them popcorn style as they were really crispy. Calamari was lovely and soft but not chewy.

Beautiful little spot to enjoy fresh seafood by the Welsh coast! A proper haven outside Swansea, this little hut had bags of personality and a beautiful story behind it.
The food was so good, we had calamari and crispy prawns. Do not miss out on the chilli jam, which you can also purchase there! Delicious!!! The batter was light and perfectly seasoned.

Staff super friendly and food excellent good size portions . The only downside and beyond their control was the building work on the promenade and the weather.
We had prawns squid and the mixed white bait squid sardine and samphire and a portion of skin on fries. Our son had fancied pop corn cockles but as we ordered they hadn’t arrived so we ordered as we did. Before we left the cockles arrived and the owner served our son a portion of popcorn cockles free of charge which was extremely kind.

Great spot for a snack on a Sunny day. We stopped here with our 2 year old son. The playground right next door was perfectly placed for us to sit and enjoy some food while he ran around. Small menu but what they do serve is done well and the people working in the seafood hut were all very friendly.

Amazing find! Stumbled across this place when going to the playground and the atmosphere, smell and menu choices looked so enticing. Tried the Popcorn Gower cockles and they were amazing! Cooked to perfection. Worth the sneaky bite before going for dinner. If we didn’t already have a reservation for dinner I would have happily had more of the other dishes there.

Fresh seafood by the sea, from a shack, the way it should be. Nostalgic and enjoyable. I almost settled for a jar of pickled cockles from a supermarket as I couldn’t find them fresh at all the coast in the gower I visited until I found this place. Well worth the visit.
