First time visit. We thought we’d give it a try after driving by a billion times. Your basic Chinese steam table with the added menu if you want to dine in, They have a whole bunch of dining tables for that purpose, although the food will be served to you as takeout on a tray. Not a problem. Staff is very courteous and friendly, I think they are the main asset.
The food. Lemon chicken was really lemon chicken. My God what a concept. Usually it’s some horrible syrupy thing but very much lemony tasty and the chicken was tender. No chicken jerky.
Really good. Vegetable fried rice, fluffy and tasty with veggies.
String bean tofu isa little problematic. It did taste good but a third of the container was sauce. Other than that it was a nice experience. Plus a soda and a $3 tip, the whole thing came to about 42 bucks. They have four different combo plates ranging from the $9 range to $12 range, they also have two egg rolls for $1.99 If you’re looking for a quick bite to grab, I would say do it.
Steam table also had some nice veggie dishes that I didn’t get to, broccoli, beef and a veggie and shrimp. That’ll be for next time. All in all pretty decent and we will probably return now and then. We don’t usually eat much Chinese up in the San Leandro area, we’re usually at Porky’s or somewhere else. But this was good. Nice surprise

I like the food because it’s tasty but not too salty. It’s a good value for the amount of food. The inside could use an upgrade.

I’ve only eaten here once. It was ok… It seems like a lot of ppl like it. The chowmein was saucy and delicious. Eating there only sucks because there’s a lot of flies around, but overall, it was ok.

Went here after reading all the 5 star reviews and the food was not good. I ordered 2 items combination. The chow mein was ok but stuck together and the spicy chicken was dried out. I probably got the last of the tray but it was not good. As far as people saying they give u so much food, u can’t close the box was not true for me. The server put my spicy chicken only on 1 side expecting me to get another item. When I didn’t, she didn’t give me more. I noticed they would give “regulars” more than what I got. 2 items not worth $11. Come on, the amount of chow mein they give u only cost .25 cents, and the chicken less than .50 cents. Won’t be going back. There’s a lot better in San Leandro such as King Kong. 2 items there only cost $7 and it’s really authentic Chinese food

For years up until now, this place is still very generous with the huge portion sizes that they give, for such a super affordable prices.
The set up and food options are super similar to a Panda Express, but imagine actual authentic Chinese food, with way more variety (example: they have fish options and eggplant while Panda Express does not) and cheaper prices & bigger portions where the to go box barely closes.
My first go to here was the hot and spicy chicken, but I tend to get the hot and spicy fish nowadays, and I don’t eat fish, generally. I’ve always appreciated how their food is no where near as oily as the general Chinese food buffets I used to go to growing up.

This is one of my favorite American Chinese food spot in the east bay. You will know why this place is popular when the server does everything she can to stuff more food in your container. My wife was murmering “I think that’s enough” as the server was packing all the meat and she rarely ever says that. Overall, great bang for your money here.

Plus they have shrimp with lobster sauce that’s not in the menu. I come from east coast and it was my bread and butter dish but it seems hard to find in west coast. So seeing a place serve it was a deal breaker for me.

Here’s the latest menu for you guys to check out what they serve and pricing before you head out here.

The food is great, but most important are the people how work there. They are so caring, always cordial and attentive. They serve generous portions and serve you the pieces you like the most. It’s always fresh and warm. The prices are very comfortable and most people could eat something there.
I highly recommend it!

Came in for dinner and was greeted by the nicest most helpful lady ever. I told her I had food allergies and she made sure to ask the cook about all the ingredients to make sure I was okay. She even kept offering me samples to make sure I enjoyed what I ordered. This woman made my day, so sweet and such a great attitude which I find rare these days. Not to mention she packed that food box all she could and at a very reasonable price. Happy I came in as I hadn’t came here since I was a kid. Not sure if she is always working but non the less she is appreciated. Glad to have this place in the community, food was delicious

Clerks are super friendly, efficient, cheerful, very helpful. Great customer service After eating here you’ll never wanna go to Panda which is very expensive, not fresh food and customer service sucks. Kudos to Beijing Bowl management and team.

This isnt exactly fine dining but just some typical American Chinese takeout place. Large portions for a really reasonable price. The bbq chicken is my favorite and the chow mien is very tasty. Quick and friendly service too.
