I wanted to take the time to write a glowing review of La pizzeria Arrivederci. I’ve been coming here for years, but I’ve always had small groups of friends or just me and my partner.
Last night, I had a large group of 16 people for a birthday dinner. And let me tell you, the service was absolutely incredible. I can’t emphasize it enough—it was spectacular. The food was as delicious as always, and the half-price wine was an added bonus.
I always get nervous having a large group at a restaurant because I fear the service will be slow and the meal will last hours. But not this time! We had drinks and dinner in a prompt amount of time. We even brought a cake and they surprised us with serving it for us.
Not only would I recommend La Pizzeria Arrivederci as a regular dinner spot, but I would absolutely recommend it for a group meal!
I hope you enjoy it as much as we did! I would give it a solid 10 out of 10!

Through DoorDash, food was awesome. Meatball sauce was so fresh, not overcooked. We asked for extra sauce on the meatballs and they did. Awesome. Chicken piccata was tender and not overcooked. Great job

Happy they reopened! But now not only with pizzas but also items from Arrivederci. Ambience is cozy and intimate. Service was great. My new favorite is the artichoke as appetizer and the ravioli. Had also carpaccio and was perfectly seasoned. There are options for all tastes. Also great value.

Great recently reopened pizza spot. Went on a quiet night and pizza was great. We ordered a standard pepperoni and overall it was a well balanced. It was heavy on the cheese, so it did lend to a heavier (wetter) pizza that folded over itself when bent in half, but to some that is well liked. The marinara sauce was great. I felt the bruschetta was even better, with fresh mozz and tomatoes complimenting the base bread. Complimentary bread with butter included which was good but not great. I did have to prompt the waiter for a few things, but he was courteous when asked.

Love this pizzeria… Probably the most authentic Italian pizza in San Diego and I’ve traveled many many times to Italy! Service and food is excellent. Particularly like the server Eduardo.

The food tasted good enough, but the portions were small and extremely expensive. The server was rude and passive aggressive. The place was completely empty on a Saturday night and I can see why.

Randomly stumbled across this spot while looking for a quick bite on a Saturday night, and I’m so glad we did. The place was quiet, which honestly made it feel like a hidden gem, as we were the only customers there. The young Italian guy working there was super friendly and welcoming—made us feel right at home.
I had no idea what to order, so I let him pick for me, and wow… it ended up being one of the best pastas I’ve ever had. It was a creamy vodka pasta with salmon, and it seriously hit the spot. Prices were super reasonable too, and the whole place has this cozy, intimate vibe that makes you want to linger.
Definitely planning to come back!

Went with a friend and we were being very indecisive and fussy and instead of being annoyed, our incredible waiter talked with us and asked us what we were in the mood for and thought of a dish he could suggest with some modifications. He was so patient and charismatic, this place immediately became a favorite because of him. Oh and the food was great too – pasta with cream sauce and chicken. Good heavens!
