Asked for an Italian delight sandwich which comes with cheese, salami, capicola and pepperoni. I asked for ham to also be added. I received just a pepperoni and cheese sandwich. Not that hard to follow a food order. Subway is more competent than this.

The sandwich had large pieces of onions and the fries were stuck together. Didn’t have a good experience

Ordered a giant hot sausage with everything and provolone cheese which was $2 extra, got home and no cheese and the sandwich was so sloppy and the bread was falling apart. Tried to eat half and I literally got sick from it. I got a fried cheese and was supposed to have sauce on it and it literally had maybe a tablespoon of sauce and it was very dry and looked like a big chunk was missing from the cheese. Then I looked at the receipt and they charged me $5.28 for a tip which I didn’t want. For those two items I paid almost $26 which I feel is ridiculous especially when I couldn’t even eat it. I will never go back there again. Used to go to Poland all the time and everything was so good so I figured I would try Boardman again and never again. I saw 5 star reviews and I don’t think they were real. Buyer beware. Wouldn’t even give it to my dogs it went straight in the trash. What a waste of money for us!!!! . Just wanted to say I never have wrote a bad review before and with times like they are I feel bad but I can’t afford to waste money and I am sure nobody else can either so I just wanted to share and let everyone know.

Delicious as always. It’s been a couple of years but we were very happy with our food.

The food was good but the service was very disorganized and everyone was waiting a long time for their food. The employees seemed very nice but not very well trained.

“The best sub place in Youngstown!” Was my old review. This place has really went downhill. I’ve been coming here over 20 years, and the service and food has become very mainstream, the extra meat ribeye sub had like 4 pieces of meat, when we called to tell them they forgot extra meat, they said there was nothing they can do. Sandwich factory? more like ripoff factory. You guys lost our business.

I grew up on Sandwich Factory in Boardman. The one thing we could always count on was consistency. I hadn’t had it in about a year, and today I was craving it. Sadly today was a different experience from what i’ve always been used to.
They were pretty busy when i came in. There was no line, but I was told “be right with you.” No problem! I waited patiently. A line gathered behind me while we waited. When a woman finally made her way up to the register, she looked at the line and then rolled her eyes. I know you’re stressed and busy, but no need for the attitude. Unprofessional.
The wait for the food was expected for a busy place. No problem. I got a half #7 and a side of Onion Rings. I’ve pretty much gotten this order my whole life. And I’ve always raved about the onion rings.
The sandwich was standard – no problems.
The onion rings were in an oil-drenched bag and the bag was only about a 1/4 full with crumbs and bits of onion rings. I wish i could say i was joking. It was about two inches of onion crumbs in a slimy bag. I’m not one to complain about portions, but this was comical. They used to give much more in an order. For reference, the bag was even rolled up at the top to hide the empty bag. I decided to bring it up and simply ask them “Are these the onion rings?” after thinking about the $4.25 i payed for them.
They shrugged and yelled to “drop a new onion ring.” She then explained to me that “the fried mushrooms, onion rings, and cheese are all weighed out to 4oz and they need to break them up to do so”. Odd. Maybe don’t advertise them as Onion Rings if they aren’t actually going to be that.
Hell, i’d eat them broken, i don’t care. The amount for the price was the main issue. My new bag was the same amount of food, but this time it actually contained two whole onion rings, and two small broken pieces.
Wish i took a photo of the original bag. Attached is the new bag.
They used to atleast fill the bag which would probably be 7-10 rings. So just know that if you get onion rings now, you’re paying $4.25 for 2.5 onion rings, all broken up.

I love this place! I have been coming here since I moved to Y Town in 2007. I love the fresh bread, the fresh meat, and the generous helpings of cheese and oil/vinegar. Great job, guys and gals!

Bread wasn’t as fresh as I’d like . The giant sub was huge , just was mostly bread. Kinda dry although it was drenched in oil.

I have been a customer of Boardman Sandwich Factory since it opened. (Proces have changed a tad…) As a little kid, we used to go to eat and play video games. My favorite has always been their fish sandwich. It’s changed over the years, but it has never been bad. 🙂 Their bread is always fresh and delicious. Shop local folks! Always a friendly smiling face taking your order, an you can watch then make your sandwich. Go get you some! 🙂
