We decided to stop here when we were in town over the weekend. The staff were excellent and the atmosphere seemed nice.
Food arrived fast, our margaritas were amazing. My only issue was the quality of the food. The taquitos did not have much flavor and were dry. The tacos were delicious but they did not have much meat for the price of them.
I ordered steak with bacon wrapped shrimp. They served peppers and mushrooms with the steak, but the peppers had an off taste and made the steak inedible. The shrimp were delicious, but the bacon seemed raw or undercooked due to the length of wrapping.

As a family we used to love this place but at some point in the last 6 months its gone down hill. The new menu is significantly smaller and alot of the favorites were cut. The meat portion per meal have been drastically reduced, the freshness is questionable. The birria tacos had maybe a tablespoon of meat and the fajitas trio was not worth the $27 price. Id like to hope maybe something was wrong with their heating system and it wasnt cost cutting as the ambient air temperature was definitely in the 60’s in the restaurant as every table was still wearing hats and jackets. I will not recommend this place to anyone anymore and likely will not return if the choice is mine.

Impossible meat has been substituted with a lesser vegan option on the nachos. Preparation wasn’t as good this time around.

We were visiting Amherst and stopped by Garcia’s for lunch, especially because they had a good kids menu online. We are glad we did. We will definitely be coming here again!
On entering the restaurant we were immediately greeted by a friendly hostess and seated right away. We were given our menus and chips and salsa.
Our meals came quickly and were absolutely delicious, some of the best Mexican I have had. The mole pablano was cut bite-sized and was a delightful, delicate chocolate flavor. The refried beans also far outshine those at other establishments.
The tacos asada were tender and flavorful. We only wish there were more of them?
The kids burger and fries were also fantastic – tender, moist and flavorful. Not the typical kids cardboard burger.
Wevall agreed Garcia’s is on our list next time we are in Amherst.

The appearance of the building it is in is completely.misleading. The outside is drab and looks like an office – the inside is bright and cheerful.
Service was quick. We were seated right away. There were quite a few patrons already there but you could only see two tables at a time – not an open floor plan.
The food was delivered quickly. Our waiter was great! Recommend dishes that we would like and I wanted a taco on the side instead of ordering a whole plate – they had no problem obliging. We wanted grilled jalapenos as an afterthought and it was delivered ins couple.of.minites.
The margarita was pretty stiff. The food delicious! We got the carne asada and the traditional shredded pork dish – I don’t recall it’s name. The tortillas were soft and perfect for.msking mini burritos. The chips were warm and the salsa tangy and they brought us more cos we devoured the first bowl as we were reviewing the menu 🙂
It was a satisfying warm meal and we left stuffed and happy.

We actually spotted this place on the way to another restaurant! So we decided to give it a try and was VERY happy with our experience. And the fact that I’m taking the time to even write a review says a lot.
Excellent, festive atmosphere. Staff is very friendly and we happened to show up on mariachi night (Monday) and they were excellent too. They went from table to table, took requests and played two songs at each.
The nachos they bring to the table are among the best I’ve had.
Food was great! I had the enchiladas with chicken. My girlfriend had a vegetarian quesadilla which I tried and was also excellent.
We finished with the fried ice cream. Also amazing. Perfect for two.
Definitely recommend this place. Great food and prices. Now we have a new place we can make a road trip to visit. Hopefully on mariachi night again!

I am no expert on Mexican food, so my satisfaction with this Amherst experience is merely to say the food is delicious and the super-sized margaritas are civilian space travel. Generous salted rim! But be sure to bring along a designated driver if you plan on more than one margarita blast off. The visual brilliance of interior design is a delight. Sevice is super cheerful. Parking is free and easy.

We went early afternoon and we were seated in a cozy booth. We didn’t wait long for our meal. The food WA delicious and the quality seemed better than other Mexican restaurants. There weren’t many customers at the time we went so I can’t tell you how loud it gets in here but there is a big open section with tables. Everything was clean and colorful. I would recommend this place to my friends and family.

I read reviews and checked menus. I selected this place because I could select create your own meal. When I pulled into the parking lot, I was unsure, because there’s only one or two cars in the parking and it was almost noon. From the outside, I was thinking this was more of a college hang out, because there was a lot of younger kids in the area. I am from out of town and not familiar with the area. When I walked in and sat down, I was pleasantly surprised. When my food arrived and I started eating, it reminded me of food from New Mexico. Everything was delicious. I thought it was odd that they put coleslaw on their plates. They had corn and cilantro in it, it was delicious. I noticed someone near me order tableside, guacamole, which is also a great option. The service was excellent. I highly recommend eating at this restaurant. They did not disappoint at all. Again, great place to eat!

Nice location with plenty of parking. The food was good and the environment was good for families. The coleslaw was surprisingly really good. The food lacked a little flavor and spice than what we normally like, but it was still an overall good meal!
