We drove a full hour just to try this place, specifically for the Lasagna Soup, and let me tell you- it was perfection! It absolutely lived up to the hype and made the drive completely worthwhile.
But the experience only got better from there. The Spaghetti Balls were nothing short of amazing- omg so delicious! We also indulged in a special, the “Long Shot” Chicken Cutlet Sandwich, and the taste was so superb, I nearly passed out on the floor.
Perhaps the most surprising standout, however, was the Bensonhurst Pizza. The crunch on that single pizza slice was out of this world. It’s rare to find such a simple texture executed so flawlessly.
Beyond the incredible food, the place itself is wonderful: spacious, bright, and super clean. The atmosphere is inviting, but the real magic comes from the staff. The woman behind the counter provided customer service that was truly magical. The entire staff was friendly and incredibly helpful.
This was a wonderful experience and genuinely music to my tastebuds. Highly, highly recommend!

Phenomenal pizza joint, cheesesteak was awesome, so was the fried spaghetti ball. I went with my two year old daughter and the lady that took our order sliced her pizza up real small for her to eat. Super clean and updated, recommend 10/10

Review for Nico’s Pizza in New Britain

I decided to visit Nico’s Pizza after seeing several food influencers rave about it, and overall, my experience was a mix of amazing highs and a few letdowns.

The Great (Highly Recommended):
The Bensonhurst pizza was absolutely incredible. It’s a square-style pizza that looks thick, but the dough and crust are surprisingly light. The sauce was full of flavor, and the fresh ingredients really stood out. This one definitely lived up to the hype and a must-try if you visit.

The Long Shot chicken cutlet sandwich was another highlight flavor-wise. The combination of fried prosciutto, burrata cheese, and hot honey was spot-on! Sweet, salty, crispy, and creamy all in one bite. The only downside was the presentation as it looked like the ingredients were just tossed onto the roll. I had to rearrange everything myself just to eat it properly. Still, the taste made up for the look.

The Good (recommend):
The loaded fries were very good. Crispy fries topped with melted cheese and ranch. Simple but delicious, and they disappeared fast. Definitely worth adding to your order if you’re in the mood for something indulgent on the side.

It was fine (neutral):
The chicken parmigiana was a large portion of chicken cutlet and spaghetti. The flavor was just okay. The sauce was not anything special. I wouldn’t order it again and while I wouldn’t recommend it, I’m sure there are people who may like it.

The Underwhelming (do not order this)
Unfortunately, the cheesesteak didn’t meet expectations. It’s been hyped up by a few influencers, but mine fell flat. The roll wasn’t filled with meat, the cheese was barely visible, and overall it just lacked the richness and flavor you’d expect from a good cheesesteak. I wouldn’t recommend this one.

Overall:
Nico’s Pizza in New Britain has some standout items worth traveling for, especially the Bensonhurst pizza and the Long Shot sandwich (even if it needs a presentation upgrade). But not everything hits the mark. I’ll definitely be back for the pizza, just not the chicken parm or cheesesteak.

I tried a new (new to me I mean) Bucks county cheesesteak and I loved it!! If you haven’t been in to Nico’s yet in New Britain, you’re cheating yourself. Ribeye with no gristle, a good amount of cooper sharp (not insane amounts to where it tastes like just cheese but nowhere near dry), small dice onions, and a toasted Liscio’s seeded roll.

Also had a fantastic chicken cutlet sandwich called “the limoncello”. This had burrata and an olive oil infused with lemon plus lemon zest. This was such a refreshing blend of flavors, just a really bright pop that I wasn’t expecting! This may have been even better than the cheesesteak.

The wings I got made perfect sense for a pizza spot too. Picture crispy wings tossed in mild and bleu cheese then hit with fried cup and char pepperoni and hot honey. These were so unique, and I love trying new things. I’d get these again for sure!

Yeah…you’ll want to find out for yourself on this one.

If you’re looking for authentic Italian food in New Britain, PA, Nico’s is the kind of restaurant that reminds you why family recipes will always beat trends. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome, and the menu delivered a lineup of dishes that showcase both tradition and creativity.

We started with the homemade meatballs topped with creamy ricotta – tender, flavorful, and the perfect start to any meal. The Chicken Limoncello sandwich was a standout, with that bright lemon flavor cutting through every bite. The Eggplant Parmigiana served over pasta (a treasured recipe straight from the owner’s grandmother) tasted like Sunday dinner at nonna’s table. Their pasta in vodka sauce was velvety and rich, one of the best versions I’ve had in Bucks County.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Philly-area dining without a cheesesteak, and Nico’s puts a twist on it with Cooper Sharp cheese that takes it to another level. And then there’s the Bensonhurst pizza – perfectly crisp crust, plenty of cheese, and bold flavor that feels like Brooklyn brought to New Britain.

What makes Nico’s so special is the balance: you get classic Italian comfort food alongside creative takes, all made with care and fresh ingredients. Whether you’re in the mood for pizza, pasta, sandwiches, or parm, this spot has something to satisfy.

Nico’s is a must-visit restaurant in New Britain for Italian food lovers. Great for families, date nights, or anyone craving that homemade taste. I’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend this hidden gem for locals and anyone searching for authentic Italian dining near Doylestown and Bucks County.

I went there today with my family and was not disappointed and well worth the 1hour plus ride. The hype is real, this place is the best. We had pizza, meatballs, salad, penny vodka, cheesesteaks and they were the best. My family was impressed on how fresh and homemade the food was. No pizza place is like this at all. The owner and staff made you feel like family too, and gave us cannollis for dessert. What place does that, a good place to frequent. We will be back and we are telling all our friends about it. Thank you Nico’s for the food and hospitality!!!

I was quite skeptical to check this place out, as I hadn’t even heard of it until it popped up on my social media recently with individuals saying to try the ‘Bensonhurst’ pizza. I ended up passing right by it today so I stopped in to give it a go. Y’all, let me tell you. This is one of the best slices of pizza I’ve EVER had, if not the best. The sauce on this is absolutely KILLER and it was PERFECTLY crispy. In fact, after getting a slice to go and trying a bite (or multiple because I couldn’t stop eating it) in my car, I literally went back in and got their last slice to go, it was that good. Needless to say, this will definitely be my go-to spot from now on!
