This ain’t it! Raising Cane’s is across the street go there instead.

No kidding, I order 3 finger for $9, for $10 you get tiny itty bitty chicken fingers buried in fries and a plain toasted bread on top to cover how they’re skimping you!

Everything is bland. At least with Canes the tenders are more crispy and crunchy.

I would have loved to see a personable container, nope it follows how bland it goes with everything.

Even the Layne sauce is a knock off of Canes, peppery taste.

I’m glad I didn’t bring my friends here, they would’ve been disappointed too!

My food tasted good and was warm but the chicken fingers were a little on the small side for the price. The spicy fingers had a little kick after the first bite but that’s ok because I don’t like my food too spicy anyways. My customer service experience was good and they had my food ready pretty quick. The most important thing for me was that my fries were hot, tasted fresh, and a reasonable amount.

The best chicken tenders. Spicy is actually spicy. Spicier than the Chick-fil-A spicy filet which is what I prefer. SOOO many sauce options. Made in house!! Definitely recommend! Nothing like plain Canes . Tenders can be on the small side though. I get full quick so it’s no issue for me.

Chicken was dry, bread was a mediocre copy of canes, sauce was a copy of canes, tenders were the size of a slightly larger nugget and not tender size. Fries were the only redeeming factor and they were okay at best. Worst canes copy ever, made their name sound like canes, copied their menu damn near (Tenders, crinkle cut fries, Texas toast) Do NOT recommend at all.

We LOVED the chicken strips!! Soooo good! Their Layne’s sauce was not to the hubs likong, but I did like the honey mustard! The garlic bread was a bit salty for us, but it wasn’t bad. Fries were golden and crisp!! Service was fast and friendly. We would come back again.

1st time dining at Layne’s and how I can describe their fingers is like eating KFC original breading, meaning that the breading had a good flavor. They have a variety of sauces, but for me the check of approval was the country cream gravy. Nothing special about the gravy, but the fact that they offer it (in my opinion) is a plus. Texas toast and crinkly fries were good, and almost a standard for most combo baskets, so it paired well. If you are an Aggie fan, you may recognize them as a local staple in Bryan/College Station. I would eat here again, considering the chicken competitions near by.

I recently visited Laney’s Finger Chicken and decided to try a variety of their offerings. I ordered the five-finger combo, two three-finger combos, a four-finger combo, the finger chicken sandwich with bacon, and the spicy finger combo. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet my expectations.

What could be improved:
-Bacon Sandwich: The bacon was too chewy and raw, lacking the crunch that I enjoy.
-Sauces: The Lane sauce was overpoweringly peppery, and the ranch, while tasty, was too liquidy.
– Price and Quantity: For the price, the quantity felt a bit overpriced.

What I liked:
– Fries: The fries were quite good, better than those at other similar restaurants.
– Spicy Finger Combo: This was pretty good, though the spice didn’t kick in until a few bites in.

I had informed the staff that I was excited to leave a review, but my experience didn’t go as planned. While I believe they might have been having an off day, I must be honest and say that overall, the food was disappointing. I hope to give them another chance in the future and see if there are improvements. For now, I cannot recommend Laney’s Finger Chicken.

The food was absolutely DELICIOUS!!! So much flavor compared to canes. I got the 5 spicy Tender meal and it was awesome. The fries are good.

I visited during their grand opening on 12/7/24.
CONS: started off feeling unwelcomed when the manager (who ironically looks like Colonel Sanders) handed the man in front of me a card of some type…then he totally passed me by as he put the rest of the cards in his pocket quickly. I asked the gentleman what he received, and it was 2 cards offering a BOGO deal. Why didn’t I get at least one? I was standing right there (looking back, I should have said something). Anyway, I stayed to give the place a chance. Then, I learned the truth about the grand opening promotions…see my picture/screenshot for details.
PROS: they offer cream gravy, and it was pretty good. Their special sauce was tasty, too. The chicken was tender, I had the original, not spicy, but the breading was not especially crunchy. However, the crinkle fries were some of the best I’ve had (lightly salted). The restroom is for ONE, but it was clean. They have coke zero and tea and lemonade and drinks ares self serve. The order taker was friendly. They have a small variety of options, but it is a lot more than their competition across the street offers.
