Tonight our server brought our food out and my Husband’s lasagna was literally a blob on his plate. It wasn’t even an inch tall and the red sauce tasted like it was condensed. My Alfredo was dry and crusty – like it had been sitting for a while. The broccoli was chunks of trees just laying on top of crusted noodles. I pointed out to our server that my food was dry and crusty, and she just stood there. Therefore, I asked for extra sauce .. it was not edible. She just complained the kitchen was slow.
We won’t even talk about the tea refills. We didn’t ask for any compensation or even complain after the noodle incident. After paying and still tipping when we were leaving the two girls upfront, didn’t acknowledge when we said thank you.. good night. It seems that customer service is no more. Super disappointed!
For my daughter’s 17th birthday, she wanted everyone to eat at Olive Garden to celebrate. I called an hour ahead of our arrival time to be put on the waitlist for 7:00pm, which I was instructed to do when I called earlier in the day. We waited 45 min to be seated, which wouldn’t have been all that bad IF everything else that took place after being seated didn’t happen. Drink orders were a hot mess and took awhile to be corrected. My husband’s food didnt come out with everyone else’s and still didnt come out after asking numerous times over the course of an hour, and ended up not getting his food at all. My daughter’s friend’s order came out wrong twice, the second time it came out wrong was an hour later and was never corrected. They just boxed it up for her to take home, even though it was wrong. My step-son ordered a side of grilled chicken with his meal, and again, over the course of an hour we asked numerous times when it would be out, and he never got it. After being there for over two hours, we all had enough and just wanted to leave, so my sister-in-law requested to-go boxes from a different waitress because our waitress had not been to our table for quite awhile. When she brought the to-go boxes to the table, my sister-in-law told her that my daughter’s friend’s food was wrong again, the waitress threw the to-go boxes at her, swung her hands up in the air while laughing followed by yelling in her face. Things escalated very quickly and we all just wanted to get our food bills so we could get the heck out of there. I asked to speak to the General Manager, and explained to him everything that occurred stating that it also ruined my daughter’s birthday. His response was, “Well, you shouldn’t have come on a Friday night!” Wow! That comment right there shows what kind of operation this General Manager runs. When we arrived, it wasn’t busy. That’s why I chose to have everyone meet there at 7 after their dinner rush winds down. While all of this took place, there were 5-6 waitresses on their phones doing absolutely nothing for the most part of our visit there. There should have been 2 waitresses taking care of our table, but instead they chose to have a very inexperienced waitress who really didnt seem to know what she was doing taking care of our table by herself while the other waitresses stood around on their phones.
From the beginning to the end, this visit was a disastrous nightmare. I have never experienced anything like this, and I have a hard time wrapping my head around everything that took place because it was all so bizarre. It was literally one thing after the other…..never ending. Toward the end, everything was done on purpose……not bringing out the missing food, completely ignoring our table leaving us to ask other staff memebers to get to-go boxes, asking numerous times for our checkes. I was to the point of telling everyone to just walk out without paying since nobody seemed to give a crap about us.
I left feeling so horrible for my daughter because her birthday dinner with friends and family was completely ruined. She didnt even get her piece of cake that we requested that we brought candles for so that we could sing Happy Birthday to her. Instead, they chose to ruin her birthday dinner.
Thanks Olive Garden! This will definitely be a birthday she will never forget!!
