We stopped in for a snack and ended up with the scallop chowder and seafood chowder. The scallop chowder was creamy, mild and slightly sweet while the seafood chowder was strong and flavorful. Both were excellent as were the little biscuits they were served with. The beverages were all self serve but our young waitress was very sweet. The coffee was hazelnut with maple and it was a treat. The prices were high, my cup of soup was $16. It’s a little funky getting in as it’s on a one way branch off a local road.

We try to get to Winnegance every time we’re in the area. This year, we went for breakfast one day and back for lunch the next because it’s SO GOOD! The food is unbelievably good, and the chowder? Amazing. Staff are wicked friendly and we had a lovely view from the porch. I can’t recommend this place enough it was FANTASTIC!

Google maps said there was a bakery on route to Popham Beach, so of course we had to stop there. We were warmly greeted by the owner’s daughter who guided us to the bakery display. When in Maine, one should eat something with blueberries. I chose the blueberry sour cream cake. Where to begin to describe everything that’s right about this cake? Moist, flavorful, without a hint of powdered topping or icing. Generous portions too. Perfection! But wait, there’s more…a homemade lemon bar. Just fabulous. A must if you like lemon. We ate them on the ride to Popham. They were SO good, we stopped to get 1 more of each on the way home.

A must if you’re traveling through Bath! It is a short trek off of Hwy 1, but it’s well worth it. We stopped in for breakfast and sat outside under the covered front porch. There was a nice breeze and a view of the bay. Inside here was a big selection of homemade baked goods, along with the daily specials listed on the chalk board. We had the cajun haddock hash with over medium eggs and the haddock scramble. Our waitress suggested the cinnamon bread grilled on the flat top. Everything was delicious! Thank you for the outstanding meal and service! We’ll definitely be back whenever we’re in the area again.

Over the course of our week+ vacation, this is by far the best breakfast we had anywhere, hands-down. We were deliberately trying to eat at as many different places as we could as part of our vacation experience.
The staff was wonderfully friendly and laid-back. The food was Excellent! Fresh, flavorful, real food no fillers. Loved the hash omelet! Felt good eating there. The atmosphere also was adorable and pleasant and made us feel at-ease. Next time we go to Maine we’re stopping here!

What a treat to have lunch at Winnegance Restaurant today. Our server was so personable and made terrific suggestions; she definitely knew her menu. Our meals were absolutely delicious! The mushroom soup was made from scratch and wonderful! The steak sandwich was perfect and was accompanied with homemade chips and crisp pickles. Our group also had the BLT with Turkey and the haddock BLT! If you are in Bath, this wonderful restaurant is a must stop!! You won’t be disappointed!!!

We had a wonderful breakfast here while staying in downtown Bath. It was worth the 3 mile drive. The corn beef hash omelet and the burrito was the BEST we ever ate. We highly recommend this place and will return again for good eats when we are in Bath!

This was my 2nd time here, the first being a few years ago. I did not leave a review last time because the ticket times were so disproportionately long based on how busy the place was (not busy – 3 to 4 people inside & a 45 minute wait for a couple of breakfast meals that we did not change at all) that I wanted to give them a 2nd chance.

Unfortunately our 2nd visit was underwhelming as well. They apparently were understaffed which happens, but did their best to try and keep up. Ticket times werent bad, but the food really wasnt very good.

Ordered the crispy corned beef hash which comes with cheese. What I received was a mushy wrap, not crispy, with no cheese that was very bland. I choked down most of it because it’s not as if I was going to go eat at a 2nd restaurant, but it really wasnt good.

Plain eggs with onions and CBH mixed in is not a good combo. To be honest it was like trying to eat dog food – hot mush with no flavor with that type of consistency.

Probably have a hard time finding help in a small town such as Bath, but it was really disappointing. Left a 3 star rating to try and be fair but we wouldnt go back it wasnt worth it.

Ive seen this in small town restaurants in many places – high ratings then you show up and get a mismatched experience. Its because the locals have nothing else to compare to because they never leave their hometowns and see what else is out there. Oh well.

Delish!! Sit on the porch if it’s nice out. Haddock wrap was so good and the lobster grilled cheese. Such friendly owners too! We will be back next time we’re in the area
