If you’re on the island and looking for great pizza, you absolutely have to try Scooters Pizza. It’s easily the best pizza on the island.

I’m originally from Detroit, so I’ve had a lot of Detroit-style pizza in my life, and I can honestly say their Detroit-style is better than most I’ve had back home. The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and the flavor was incredible.

We ended up trying three different styles while we were there – the Detroit style, the round, and the New York style – and every single one of them was amazing. You can really tell they take pride in what they’re making.

It’s also a family-owned place, which makes it even better. Gino and his wife are awesome people and made the whole experience feel welcoming and personal.

Great pizza, great people, and a great local spot. We’ll definitely be back.

The new go to spot. I heard that a new pizza place opened on the island so decided to stop in here to grab some quick pizzas to take home and try it out. Wasn’t expecting too much thinking its just pizza, But it was not what I was expecting at all. The pizza was amazing. Actually some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. I got 1 pepperoni detriot style, 1 buffalo chicken, 1 miles of pepperoni, and some wings and the family loved them all. Not sure where they get their ingredients but this place definitely has the highest quality pizza around.

We tried Scooter’s Pizza and had a great experience! We had a hankering for pizza while working so I called in a pickup order and from the very first phone call to walking in the door, everyone behind the counter was incredibly friendly and welcoming.

Our pizza was ready in about 15 minutes, which was impressive for a fresh deep dish. We ordered the deep dish pepperoni and paired it with an ice cold bottled CocaCola, honestly the perfect combo.

The pizza was absolutely delicious! The crust had a great texture, the pepperoni was flavorful, and the whole thing felt like true comfort food. I couldn’t decide between the homemade blue cheese or ranch dipping sauces, so I tried both, and both were really good.

Living on an island, prices tend to reflect that, and I found their pricing to be very comparable to other local spots. Friendly service, quick pickup, and really tasty pizza. Can’t wait until they are offering delivery!

The Detroit Style Deep Dish was super good, so glad to have a deep dish option on the island with a flavorful crunchy edge!! The fave though was the everything breadsticks. My daughter made a meal just out of that. The sesame seeds and Cajun seasoning were super yummy! It’s expensive for pizza, but worth it in my opinion.

Finally, no more settling for just everyday pizza. Scooters stepped it up with real quality ingredients! Being from the northeast I consider myself a pizza condense. Staff was so welcoming and polite. Gino/Miles and his team reset the bar. Tried the thin crust today and it was perfect!

Expensive pizza that’s not great. When we called the girl asked which option we would like for the crust and she told us there were three options. She said scooters‘s choice was the favorite, which was supposed to be a garlic Parmesan. When we got the pizza the garlic Parmesan and the red sauce was all over the top of the pizza which made it very soggy. The pepperoni was very greasy. Also, the red sauce was extremely acidic, giving us severe heartburn. We basically ordered a half cheese half pepperoni pizza, 16 inches that cost us $34 plus tip. Not worth it and didn’t taste good.

It’s Sunday night on Sanibel (3/8/26), our first night here for vacation. We decided to keep it easy and order carry-out pizza. One place was closed, others were fancy. We decided to try Scooters.

Online ordering was a breeze. We have 6 teens and 5 adults, so we need lots of food. How big is a 24” pizza? Let’s just say, it barely fits through a doorway and takes up most of an elevator. We ordered a few of those.

I showed up to pick it up (and it was perfectly on time) and all I see is an empty strip mall. A closed Subway. Then, I see a lady walking across the parking lot with a pizza box and realized I was in the right spot. The business is so new that their sign hasn’t arrived yet. The inside of the business is brand new, sparkling clean. The staff is as fresh as the building and excited to open. One staff member insisted they carry my order to my van, and the size of it might qualify for the Guinness book of world records.

When we arrived at our condo, we realized that the order was 100% accurate and delicious. We ordered cheese and pepperoni pizzas, a gluten-free pizza, and chicken wings. We agreed that the pizzas were delicious, and the pepperoni was the best of all.

In a situation where I sometimes feel like I’m feeding the 5,000 with loaves of bread and a few fish, we have leftovers for breakfast

So grateful we finally have something on the island that combines this level of ingredient integrity with everyday convenience. ! Scooters is our new favorite pizza joint! The Detroit style and regular style were some of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. They make their dough daily and it’s so fresh and delicious. The menu is so fun with lots of different toppings & styles.

Had to share for fellow ingredient snobs – I was so impressed w what they’ve chosen! They’re using a single sourced olive oil (from Spain) in their dough and artisanal bread flour (unbromated & unbleached)!! And whole milk grande mozzarella! The quality really comes through.
