Very good Sushi! What I like best about sushi Thai places is the fact that they serve Tom Kai soup or the hot version soup along with really good sushi! This place did not disappoint!
Unfortunately, it was really cold this week and we did everything we could do to stay warm in the keys. Well, there’s soup definitely helped after a movie next door!
Oh, by the way, the sushi roll was freaking awesome! I eat sushi and Thai food at least once a week sometimes twice in Atlanta. No disappointment here, the quality was top-notch! Thank you.

Ordered take out tonight from J-Dao. Edamame, Thai iced tea, tuna tartare, and Thai fried everything was DELICIOUS. Service great. The young lady with the space buns really made me feel special when she made a prik nam pla (spicy fish sauce) to go with my order. Sorry was too excited to eat!!

What can I say other than amazing service, food and a very attentive server. She was spot on with her suggestions and spaced out the dishes appropriately so that they didn’t arrive all at the same time. The Hamachi was delicate, spicy and absolutely delicious. The sushi/ sashimi was so fresh, it melted in your mouth. We also had the eggplant with ground chicken that we dove in and forgot to take a picture of .. A great experience…

Went to restaurant on a Friday at 7:08 pm. Less than half the tables were taken. Waitress suggested only getting Thai dishes not the sushi as they were busy with takeout. Said it would be 30 minutes if we ordered 1 sushi roll, tuna poke bowl, tuna tartar. An hour later still waiting for sushi dishes after finishing our Thai dishes brought at 3 different times in 30 minutes we asked to get our sushi to go. She acted confused and said they haven’t started the sushi dishes it would be next as they were starting to close up. The Thai food was good. Thad Pai was tasty . Tom Kha Gai was very good. Massaman curry with rice was a good portion size and quite good.

The servers are very nice but often there is lack of help so you’re waiting for a long time to be served not even water will done your way. there are times we’ve went to eat and We were told not to order sushi lol because it was gonna take over an hour to get it and that’s crazy for a sushi restaurant not to serve sushi. This has happened more than one time. Recently, I was there and the dishwasher was nowhere to be found so I couldn’t get any sake because they didn’t have any sake bottles to put the sake . Just had an absolutely amazing dinner at this hidden gem! We had a huge assortment of sushi/sashimi and sushi apps. Everything was fresh and delicious. (Crispy Tuna and Love Formula we’re our favorites.)We unfortunately didn’t try any of the authentic Thai meals but will most definitely be returning to do so! Highly recommend!

5 for 5 times I have ordered Togo…. They say 15 mins it’s 30. They say 20 you drive show up and it’s not even started yet. The food is close by and it’s not bad food. BE WARNED they for the life of them can’t get togo orders out on time. I have done these orders over the course of a year and no change same story every time, so if you order keep in mind it’s not gonna be done on time.

I recently dined here, and I must say, it was a delicious experience! Despite its simple decor, the restaurant more than makes up for it with its generous portion sizes and flavourful dishes. From the moment we arrived, the service was prompt, and we didn’t have to wait long to be served. The freshness of the food was evident in every bite, and each dish was bursting with authentic Thai and sushi flavors. I ordered miso soup, edamame, avocado roll, veggie roll, and a veggie tofu pad Thai. While it may not be the most visually stunning place, the food speaks for itself.

J-Dao is amazing! We have been to Tavernier a total of 20 days in the past 6 months and this is the only restaurant we have both raved about. The only restaurant I have felt worthy of a review. We had appetizers, rolls and dessert and everything was amazing! So glad we took a chance on this small local place in a Winn Dixie shopping center. Bacon scallops, shrimp nachos, thai donuts and fried banana, I wish we could go back. If you are on the fence, definitely try this place.
