Great little neighborhood deli, open early and closes late. But the surprise here is the large selection (for a deli) of wines and other liquors, perfect for the several BYOB restaurants in walking distance. It’s hidden away behind the parking lot off Main Street adjacent to the Chatham fire department.

I’ve gotten lunch here about a dozen times and I’m literally amazed at how good the sandwiches are every time. There’s always parking. They have all different kinds of energy drinks and snacks, and coffee. It’s a better altealterna to quick check down the street.

As a couple of other folks have essentially noted, this establishment offers nothing notable that vies for your return. Alcohol (all three types in abundance) is not competitively priced and their entire beer cooler (yesterday) is devoid of sticker prices. Repugnantly, you don’t know what the price of any beer item is until it gets rung-up. For a have-it-all convenience store, The Cottage Deli is free of any nearby competition.

Been to this place three times in a row trying to to order a hot sandwich. Impossible. There was always an excuse like, the grill is cold or I have a lot orders waiting – even though the grill was empty – . Instead they ask you to buy a cold sandwich. Unreal.
