We came across this restaurant on Resy.com and choose it as my wife loves Puerto Rican food.
We preferred outdoor seating. The ambience was great, the atmosphere was lively, the staff was amazing and the food was awesome!!
The real head turner was the 32oz margarita served in a oversized cocktail glass.
My kid loved her flatbread mushroom which was more like a pizza for her.
The Puerto Rican beans resemble Indian rajma beans with their use of garlic and spices, we love it!!
Vegetable Paellas took about 45 minutes to be served but it was well worth the wait and very delicious!!
Overall we enjoyed this restaurant and we will surely comeback!!

Another ghost review where I reviewed this place years ago so let’s see of this one sticks.

The first time we went here a year ago the food was fantastic, unfortunately this time was not.

We ordered the beef tips, a bit overcooked making them a bit chewy. Then the develed eggs, I’m not sure what they were going for but these were not develed eggs. Very bland, lacked flavors all around. Served on French bread that needed to be toasted. The chicken soup was excellent, had all the flavors you’d expect in a Spanish style dish.

Service was great. Greeted right away and with a smile.

The atmosphere is great as well, very calming and relaxing.

Would I come back? Not sure.

Great food and service! Everything came out hot and delicious, although I will say the eggs with fries and jamón ibérico is not the best option. The portion wasn’t large and for a similar price you could get a sandwhich and heftier portion.

Overall though, the atmosphere and service was great and the food was delicious! The corn fritters especially were quite a fun and tasty dish.

All good things about Fogon and Lions. We’ve been coming since they opened and keep coming back over and over again. For birthdays, with family and/ or friends visiting, for dates (without the kids), with my girlfriends… exquisite food! So so so good! And we still haven’t tried everything on their delicious menu. Thank F&L for the great service you guys always provide, excellence in food and good ambience. Many years to come… cheers

Popped in with Puerto Rican friends for a couple Medallia Lites(P.R.’s local beer-totally underrated, give one a try) and empanadas (also very good). Nice atmosphere and owners. They own the pizza joint next door too. Owner / chef stopped by to thank us for coming in. I would go back.

Wowww! This review has to start with wow. I was be remiss if I didn’t start off the year by recognizing the amazing staff at Fogon and Lions. I will not name them individually because I hate to leave someone out of this recognition, especially since they all operate as a very professional, attentive, informative, caring, and highly skilled team.

We had more than great food, more than great service, more than great atmosphere, but we had a great experience as a family that we’ll never forget. It was truly a Godsend dining at this establishment. This will be a definite regular place and people to visit every time we stop in Georgia.

May God continue to bless these people and every who visits in Jesus’ name.

We had such a wonderful experience at Fogon and Lions last night, largely thanks to our incredibly kind and attentive bartender, Chave. I came in with my boyfriend and his brother, and from the start Chave made us feel so welcome.
I tried the Rosa Caliente, a mojito, and the house margarita – all were absolutely delicious. The Rosa Caliente was hands-down my favorite, and my boyfriend commented on how much he liked it too. He ordered both the Palomita Ciega and the smoked old fashioned, and while he enjoyed both, the smoked old fashioned was definitely his favorite — very smooth and well
done.
Chave recommended the steak tips and they were honestly so good – definitely a highlight.
On top of the great drinks and food, the atmosphere was lovely. The Christmas lights were such a nice touch and made the space feel cozy and inviting. Overall, Chave was so friendly, helpful, and attentive the entire time, and truly made our night better. We’ll definitely be back – thank you for such a great experience!

Food was okay but service was soooo slow! Our server did not come over often, we never got water refills and it took her 15 minutes to initially come by and give us water and take our order. The prices were very very expensive, and we did not feel it was a good value. We won’t be back.

Starters was just there, service was fast. You need a physical I.d for drinks with alcohol , digital copy is not accepted. Main course was the best, tasty, shareable and was on time. Staff are polite and nice, also they check in to see if everything is going okay…. The guitar guy singing for the night I was there wasn’t good, sounded more like noise to me than music ( my opinion… don’t judge – some might like it ) . Parking is a little bit of a problem , might find a spot on the road side but paid parking is also available . In general experience was good …I will recommend

The food was definitely good. We ate all of it. The Fresh-Catch Coconut Ceviche was delicious, and probably the best item out of the six items we ordered.

I went there with one other person, and we ordered six tapas plates and just water to drink. It’s little tapas plates, so it was a good amount of food, but not a lot of food. We ate it all without really getting overly full. We went to a different place for dessert.

When I chose the restaurant on Google Maps, it had a “$20-$30” label and “$$” on its listing. I’m not sure what that’s about. The lunch for two, without drinks, was $145.64. They didn’t charge for the water. I travel to California often, and the prices in this Alpharetta restaurant are on par with the very best that Beverly Hills has to offer. Maybe higher.

Interestingly, many Alpharetta restaurants charge on par with what some of the best places in Los Angeles charge, even though it’s a small town in Georgia. Just posting this as a heads up for people who see the “$20-$30” label and the 2 out of 4 dollar signs, and believe they’re going to spend less than $120-$150 for a two-person lunch.

The service was great, but nothing extraordinary. Our server was polite and attentive. The ambiance was nice as well. They had one-man guitar band playing on the patio outside, with the music piped into the main restaurant interior. The location is close to the downtown area of Alpharetta with all that it has to offer.
