I was in the area and decided to stop in to have dinner with my son. It was early (around 5p) on a Saturday so there weren’t many people inside yet. We were greeted and choose to sit at a high top table. The restaurant had a small lounge area, section for live music/entertainment, and tables/chairs, and a full bar. The waitress/bartender was a doll! She was very attentive, efficient, and communicative. She had such a warm presence. We ordered small Caesar salads (which were actually pretty large), catfish bites, crab fries, and wings. Our order came out immediately and was so delicious. The crab fries were a little different than what I’m used to in Baltimore but they were still very good. Overall, we had good food (not great but very good). Even the salad was good lol. Our waitress kept our drinks filled, napkins replenished, and even gave us extra sauces. We literally didn’t have to ask for anything. The restaurant is a little small so I would imagine that weekend nights would probably be packed. It’s a bar setting so it wouldn’t be appropriate for kids at night but we didn’t have any issues in the early evening. The restaurant is located in a shopping center so parking was readily available and free. The building could use some renovations but it seems like they know how to have a good time in there. Hopefully I’ll be in the area again to attend some of their adult events (karaoke, live music etc).
FYI: they do add an automatic gratuity to your bill. I think they added 18% for gratuity but I didn’t mind. I always tip 18-20% for good service anyway. The service was worth it and the food was banging. I really enjoyed my server speaking to both my son and I. She made him feel present instead of skipping pass him to direct all communication through me. My son said it made him feel important lol.
I’m giving it 4 stars for good food, great customer service, and needing and updated decor/renovations.

I feel bad to even write this but for $130 this was the worst brunch I have ever went too I’m on the toilet as I type this the place was empty and that should’ve been a sign to leave. When I saw the buffet I was surprised at the amount of food that was there it was nothing on that bar everything was dry and the only breakfast items they had were sausage, grits, French toast and potatoes and it all was no good besides the French toast but they give one piece of bread sliced in half Mac and cheese was not good the noodles were uncooked and it was burnt how could that be possible I had some cabbage it was watered down and it had a bone in it like why is it a bone in cabbage. The only good thing about this place was the server and the crab legs and we could only get 2 for $130 oh and 5 mini shrimp. Never again I wish I could get my money back I even stopped the manager to tell him the food was nasty
In response to owner: Hi, I definitely informed Domo me and my mother had a conversation with him and he offered made to order food which is something we weren’t interested in also others spoke on the quality of the food as they were at the buffet. I think it just needs to be a revamp as far as the quality of the food. That photo was of a fresh batch of Mac n cheese and chicken and it all wasn’t appealing. I also didn’t receive a email but I wish you all much success!

Ordered Uber eats and got a turkey burger thinking my husband and i would eat a little healthier today. Well the burger tasted off…like expired meat. And it wasn’t seasoned at all. The fries were flimsy and super chewy like they weren’t fried long enough. Very disappointed and a huge waste of money

Let’s just say , there’s a lot of room for improvement. From the price, to the service, to the buffet food options. My favorite part of the entire experience was the “house omelet.” With the exception of the crab legs, everything else I could eat at Golden Corral.

I traveled a long distance and paid over 40 for mediocre food. The employees were nice but I won’t do that again. The food looks good but it doesn’t taste good to me. Others might like it but I won’t this ever again.

The music was everything, the bar was serving nice drinks too. But the FOOD SERVICE NEEDS HELP. I waited 2 hours and never got my cheese fries and then had a hard time getting a refund.. Yall might want to drop the food service until you have more help..

Went in for happy hour and was charged $30 at the door because I wasn’t VIP, ok I’ll pay to support. Then we ordered drinks that was given to us in Dixie cups not to mention my bill was $100 and my fries tasted sour

Not impressed. First time ordering here. Crab fries did not have much crab. Wings were 5 wing pieces-not full wings. The wings were kind of dry and not fully sauced. Not worth the $20.

Update: I finally got a chance to get to Nipsey’s, the food is really good. They really accommodate the locals and a very nice staff. I really felt so comfortable going in and socializing with everyone. If you live in Upper Marboro, this is an excellent mid week chill spot.
