The food was good, and the waiter was nice (he was new I’m pretty sure). However, the main problem is that this is not a pleasant environment to eat in. The floor is cracked in numerous places (near the entrance), the porch felt like it shifted when I stepped on it, and the interior was super dated and grimey. This place is in a desperate need of a refresh.

The food was excellent and the service was very good. I rated the atmosphere a little lower because the building needs some maintenance. Inside the baseboard heaters need attention. The bathrooms were clean but need some sprucing up.

Food was terrible. Stuffed peppers were 95% rice, couldn’t find meat. Topping on top of pepper and potatoes was 1 inch of chili?? Ordered blue cheese for salad and received tartar sauce. Lettuce was mostly brown. Chicken sandwich bread was thoroughly mushy, couldn’t pick it up. Fries not good. Will not return.

The food is what you expect when you hear Home Made Restaurant. The fries are fresh cut and perfectly cooked- don’t be afraid to fry them with some gravy. The prices are fantastically affordable.

We used The Home Made Restaurant for catering the non-dinner meals for our wedding (breakfast and lunch). Definitely a mixed bag of good and bad experience. We had tried the food a previous time at the restaurant and were happy. When we received the catering order, some of the food was great…some was questionable quality…
We had meatballs that were definitely frozen and covered in some strange industrial sauce. We also wondered if some of the other apps were frozen and reheated, but they were less offensive.
We ordered breakfast for the wedding party. The french toast was literally frozen Eggo toaster sticks. We were very confused. Especially since we had their french toast previously.
I reached out after to give them a chance to explain. Apparently our group “were such a small group” that they had to use different products. It was just the wedding party, but 15 is a reasonable number for catering small events. Not entirely sure how a “home made” restaurant doesn’t have the ingredients for french toast on hand. Very disappointed with that.
The delivery guy was super helpful and very easy to work with! The owner, Wendy, was very nice…but took a long time to answer emails and required several follow up attempts. A very mixed experience in terms of service.
If you’re considering using for future events, you might want to ask which items are actually home made and which are from the freezer section before ordering.

Not even sure how we found this little place, but it was fantastic! A little country diner style place. Food was excellent, prices ridiculously reasonable, service was great. Very laid back, local, feels like home atmosphere. I wish I lived closer, I’d be here at least once a week!

It was Our 2nd visit and they did not have Turkey or roast beef for the 2nd time. My Granddaughters food ( mac and cheese ) came out some time after Our other meals were brought out. We watched one couple walk out.

The hostess came right away and brought our drinks quickly. We were given more than ample time to review the menu. The breakfast was a little slow. The home fries weren’t cooked long enough. My egg came out brown and over medium rather than over easy. Im not sure I would visit again with the many options out there.
