6/2025 – update. I’ve tried many places since my last review. Everyone is different. I see complaints about a doughy bagel on town pages. I ONLY want a doughy bagel. I don’t want crispy, well done anything. I’m only talking about the bagel itself. To me, they have the best doughy bagels and I love them. Please don’t change this!! Not everyone wants a crispy, well done bagel. Thank you!
4/20/24 update – Adding a picture of the bacon I received. These were never separated. This is pretty lazy Baron’s Bagels! Impossible for us to take apart. Lowering the stars because no one would appreciate opening up bacon and seeing this.
1st review – Have to share this picture, and this bite! I love that your everything bagels have salt! Salt is included in the everything seasoning and SO many places omit the salt. This bite was crunchy, cooked perfectly and had a bite of all the seasonings (not just tons of poppy and garlic)! Thanks so much for this perfect bagel! I love how you guys pay attention to the notes as well (lightly colored bagel, well done bacon, etc.) we add on grub hub. SO many places get it wrong. Thanks for getting it all right! Also, please don’t change. Keep doing the same thing you’re doing! Thanks so much, love a bagel lover

Hands down, these are the biggest bagels I have ever seen in my life! Now, coming from a Brooklyn family, I have certainly had my share of bagels. These were not only enormous, but they were tasty! Great selection of different flavors and they also carry a few gluten-free options (though smaller) for those that need them. Great service – not a long wait. Fun place to check out!

Had to bring my girlfriend from North Carolina to try this bagel shop and say it’s the best she’s ever had. Likewise. The owners are such nice people with welcoming hospitality. I always get the pork roll egg and cheese on an everything buttered bagel and Barons makes it perfectly. I can’t wait to visit my hometown again and return here.

These bagels were amazing!!! Our eyes were bigger than our bellies and we wanted to try everything. We finally decided on the steak, egg, and cheese bagel (toasted) and bacon, egg, and cheese (toasted). Our daughter got a planning rainbow bagel that was stacked with cream cheese. My husband and I shared a French toast bagel with Mueller’s crumb bun cream cheese and the everything bagel with plain cream cheese (all were toasted).
I have never had an everything bagel that was that flavorsome… Seriously the best I’ve ever had! The French toast bagel was no different… With the flavored Mueller’s crumb bun cream cheese; it was out of this world! When we come to visit we will always go back (maybe even tomorrow lol). The staff was wonderful and you can tell they are one of the local’s favorite places… It was busy!

Biggest bagels I’ve ever seen. Worth the wait, they had orders coming in every 10 seconds.

I don’t think I would care to ever get bagels from anywhere else again. I learned what an everything bagel should taste like today. We got an amazing rainbow plain bagel for my daughter and two breakfast sandwiches that were killer. The French toast bagel with Mueller’s crumb bun cream cheese almost made me cry.

Baron’s Bagels at 3003 NJ-88 in Point Pleasant is a true neighborhood treasure for bagel lovers! Their hand-rolled bagels are always fresh out of the oven—poppy seed with lox spread is my go-to, perfectly chewy and loaded with flavor. The homemade cream cheeses are next-level, and the breakfast sandwiches are massive and satisfying for those early beach mornings. Staff is quick, friendly, and knows all the regulars by name, making every visit feel personal. Cozy spot with great prices—grab a dozen to go!

Can’t beat Baron’s. Some parking out front, prepare for a wait (or call in your order ahead). Bagels are amazing, large with a soft inside and nice crust. Porkroll is a meal in itself. Will always be my go-to spot for good reason. CASH ONLY ATM on site but avoid the fees and bring cash

This bagel spot could easily be missed since it doesn’t stick out visually but I promise if you gave it a chance you wouldn’t regret it. This place was packed when I went in on a Saturday at 10am but for a good reason. The ladies that greeted me were great and very welcoming. I asked for a bacon, egg, and cheese on a toasted everything bagel with a hash brown and also an Arizona. Definitely one of the top 5 bagel spots I’ve ever had and for under 12$.
I know it’s just a breakfast bagel but I promise you if you’ve had enough of these in NJ you’d understand that not everyone can make a decent one. Would 100% come back here, if only it was closer to home :(.

Stopped bc of “the Baron” and how ridiculously priced it has become. Plus cash only. It’s 2025. Get it together. Bagels are obnoxiously large, with very little filling or enough meat/cheese/poorly cooked eggs to make it balanced. It’s mostly bagel. Too expensive, that guy who took over is a right you know what, and it’s just a place I ignore and go to one of the other two better quality better priced places: delicious bagels or round dough with a hole. The Baron acts like one. Grumpy old man in a rush with respect for only certain types of people, it seems. Used to be the best, now it’s just a greed factory for rich or wealthy folk in the area who don’t check prices on anything and rather convenience over quality and good service/pricing. And again. Cash only? Four people cost like $40-50 for sandwhiches. I barely carry cash and neither does the rest of the country except boomers.
