Atmosphere may be nice, service is never bad, but the food is below sub-par in relation to the price. Carne Asada may as well just be a piece of jerky. We go once in a while because it’s a convenient location. Consistently pissed with the food quality and price. I truly don’t understand how this place is so successful.

Super convenient spot with an awesome vibe and even better people. The food is a little different than the Mexican flavors I’m used to, so some dishes are just “so-so” for me, but the shrimp tacos are absolutely out of this world and the salsa is always consistent. The music can be a bit loud at times, but the ambiance is fun and the staff is truly the best, warm, attentive, and makes you want to come back. Oh and I forgot….BEST mango margaritas EVER!!

Our first time visiting any Habanero’s location, and wow! I did not expect the quality. The food was a great blend of authenticity and millennial magic, coupled with amazing service from the entire staff. The drinks were great and I couldn’t get enough of the beans! The salsa was fantastic and didn’t taste like it was ordered in. When I asked, I learned both dishes were made in house! Every detail from the beautiful dining room mural, the cute cups and plating to the little stamps on the tortillas were positively received. The bar has been raised! My husband and I were so delighted and relieved to find South American cuisine that didn’t taste like reheated bulk goods. I would highly recommend and will absolutely be back for more.

It’s a shame when a place has so much potential and just fails at the easy stuff. Had to ask for the complimentary chips, missed half the order, little follow up, wrong tortillas and picked up the finished check before we left. Guess they knew we were unsatisfied and just wanted us to go… well, no worries.

I came down from my throne into the form of man to eat here and found heaven on earth in the trio fajitas. I also received righteous service from Andres and the rest of the staff. It’d be easy to mistake them for angels with how helpful they were .I can HONESTLY say It may be hard to return up there with food and service this good at Habaneros down here. The music and decor was also top notch. I command thee to eat at Habaneros!

I’ve never had a bad meal or service at the Madisonville location. It’s the only one I’ll patronize.
The service is always quick and friendly, and the food is plentiful, seasoned, and well-executed.
The cocktails are strong but balanced.

This place is beautiful and has outdoor seating. The music was on point too! The inside was gorgeous enough to be a club, all it was missing is a dance floor. The food was great to and I’m not just saying that. I went with my companion and she has a sensitive pallet. When we sat down, they brought out chips and salsa with a bean dip. The salsa was better than expected. I’m really picky about my salsa. We both tried the bean dip and we both liked it very much. I would not have thought to get a bean dip to go with the salsa and chips. I always order queso dip and it was really good also. I had the Playeros which magically arranged for the eyes. My companion had the Potosinas. She ate everything.

I love this location of Habaneros! I used to frequent the Hwy 21 location but the food has become way less tasty and the staff is no longer friendly, the vibe is completely different than how it used to be pre-pandemic. But this location is wonderful! The food tastes how it should/used to, everything is flavorful and delicious, service is friendly and prompt, and the vibes are fun and relaxed. If you want excellent authentic mexican food and have been underwhelmed by the Covington locations on Hwy 21 & 190, try Hwy 22! You won’t be disappointed! I recommend the fish tacos, they are amazing I have to get at least 1 every time I eat here, the beef tacos are great, the Pollo Diablo is my standard if I’m really hungry and my husband loves the Alambres Tacos and Charro Beans. If you want a fun night out with excellent food, go to this location of Habaneros!

Habaneros Madisonville was one of my favorite restaurants, the one I frequently went to.
On Friday, I had a bad experience with my meal.
I spoke with the waitress, to whom I expressed my concerns and told her I needed to speak with the manager. The waitress was very kind and informed me that she had already notified the manager. I waited for approximately 20 minutes and, in the end, I never got a response from the manager.
The waitress apologized for not being able to do more; in the end, she did what she could.
But in my opinion, I believe they should have trained staff who are willing and able to address the needs and concerns of their customers.

Great food and atmosphere. My go to on Sunday at lunch. We need more restaurants like this around the rural area. Just plan on having lunch and bringing something home for dinner. Great service.
