We came for the 1st time last night to see a great up and coming artists. It was a great venue for live music. Very cozy and great visibility of the stage regardless of where you were seated. The drinks were inventive and super tasty. We had the Thai Rice bowl with shrimp and the Falafal platter. Both were excellent!! The shrimp were seasoned well and had a great search on them. We will definitely be back!! My only negative comment was how dark it was. It was hard to see what we were eating.

Went on a Wednesday night to see the Fabulous Arnetta Johnson! The show was Great! The atmosphere was comfortable & the food wasn’t bad. Our waiter was attentive & checked on us frequently enough to my satisfaction. I definitely recommend 118 North to see a live show.

Bar and kitchen that serves up simple, but tasty food and drinks. It seconds as a music venue with regularly scheduled artists and bands. 118 North has been a welcoming host to my son’s drumming instruction business’ (No Fun Drums) annual recital/concert for the past few years. It’s been a great spot for families to enjoy a table for themselves and appetizers while hearing and watching their child and others perform. Paid parking, except Sundays, along the road or in the public lot across the street.

So glad we chose to celebrate my 60th birthday tonight at 118 North to see the Eric Mintel quartet Charlie Brown Christmas concert. The sound was excellent, the service spot on and the food (homemade falafel plattee & mushroom flat bread) was very tasty and fresh. A fun & welcoming atmosphere there tonight and a great live music experience. Our server Justine was very friendly and efficient, and kudos to the entire staff for their teamwork. Would definitely recommend 118 North.

Prices are high, but something to be expected for Wayne. But what made the dinner bad was lack of service. Honestly our waitress Hannah K just doesn’t care about the customers. She has a bad attitude and you can she really hates her job. Sad…. Seems like a nice dinner place.

This place is OK, altho weekend nights with a decent band are uncomfortably overcrowded. It does support original music, so kudos for that. The food is decent but is getting very expensive. $25 for a burger? Sheesh! It’s not that good. Eat elsewhere.

We went to 118 North to see a concert by Gabe Dixon, and (as the venue suggested on its website) made a dinner reservation in order to have a better, seated experience of the show. Food was very good, and service was generally efficient, even in a crowded room. However, we were really disappointed with the seating arrangements. Arriving over an hour before showtime, we were seated in the front half of the space, near the bar, looking into the back half and the stage. While the view seemed OK at first, the area in front of the stage soon filled up with standees, who almost completely blocked our view of the performers. In addition, several parties that arrived well after we did were seated at tables in the stage area, with much better views of the show. Perhaps there’s some system for requesting specific tables or sections on show nights, but if there is, it’s not explained on the restaurant’s website. The whole experience left us really frustrated, as we had to either just listen to the show or watch the grainy video feed on the bar TV. Again, the food and service were fine, and the sound quality was good, too, but it seems unfair to seat parties with reservations in a location where they can’t actually see the show.

Great little place to see a show. I had the pleasure of seeing Free Form Funky Freqs. The staff went above and beyond to accomodate me and my teenage daughter. It was after hours for food, but they gave us a bag of wonderful “homemade” cookies. The stage had nice lighting; as a photog this is key for a smaller venue. There is a fair amount of seating, but still some standing room up front:) Metered parking is plentiful in the evening out front. I arrived at 9pm and meters were off. I would def recommend checking out this place.

Disappointed that their website fails to mention that they book 2 acts on the same night- same stage-like 2 separate tickets- and they have the first act finish at 7:30! We drove an hour to see Rhett Miller – my ticket showed 6 pm opening act and we arrived at 7pm after driving around another 15 minutes looking for an available parking space. The ticket scanner at the door didn’t say ‘hey he’s almost finished’ or ‘we kick everyone out before 8 pm for the next group of ticket holders.’ We heard 3 songs- that’s it. 2 hours total driving time for 3 songs. Perhaps this venue needs to include this info in a FAQ.
1. Be upfront about crowded venue, needing reservations for tables that are islands in a dense thicket of fans.
2. Let people know the entry and exit time for each act. We NEVER would have drove so far for such a short show. It would have been great to know that 6-7:30 was our “slot!”
3. Inform people that venue is in a shopping district with timed and “metered” parking and that the lots are all full ( at least on a Friday at 6:30 pm.)

For $25 I got the world’s smallest cheesesteak. Seriously, this thing was on like a 6” roll. Pathetic amount of meat as well.
This was on a takeout order where they forgot an item as well. Good thing we checked in the car.
We can overlook forgetting an item—but $25 for that cheesesteak was abysmal. Will never go there again.
