This review is only for the SMOKED WINGS. They are the best in the DMV for more than 20 years. It’s all I get. With the spicy bbq sauce (and I don’t even like barbecue sauce—seriously). Do yourself a favor and give them a try if you’re ever in the vicinity. FYI: It is a carry-out (grab and go). ️
Note: I’ve had a few sides that are fine, but I’ll say you be the judge. However, the mac and cheese is trash. Kraft box-ish. I would never.

This use to be the spot when you want a taste for bbq. They fall off now when I tell you Mac and cheese is so not it and the greens have no taste to it. The chicken was so hard and dry. Never again.

I arrived today in Maryland and was in need of some food. My cousin suggested if I liked bbq, I could try this bbq spot. I ordered the bbq pulled pork, mac n cheese and a piece of cornbread.
The service at the place was very good. My food was okay and the sandwich was tasty. I would go back and try some of the chicken next time.

I saw a couple reviews about the hot bbq sauce and the sides and like every person who’s been going here for decades(my parents went here back when it was on capital hill b4 it split with Kenny’s. YOU GUYS WERE RIGHT WHILE THE MEATS WERE STILL UP TO PAR THE HOT BBQ SAUCE IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING NOW AND SO ARE THE SIDES

Let’s start with the good:
1) The Mild BBQ sauce has a good strong flavor.
2) The ribs have a decent flavor (when you can eat them, but we’ll get to that).
3) The Macaroni and cheese is…. macaroni and cheese.
4) Price was about average, paid $33 for what was in the image.
Now the bad:
1) Ribs COMPLETLY overcooked, ribs were basically covered in shoe leather bark that couldn’t be chewed even if you wanted to.
2) The French Fries were straight out of the freezer, no salt at all. Like seriously, add some salt, even just a little.
3) The “Hot” BBQ sauce tasted like the Mild BBQ with some Tabasco added to it? It wasn’t hot, and the Tabasco flavor completely changed the sauce to something not appetizing. So, it was a “hot flavor” with no actual spiciness to it.
Overall, I’ll say this. The Ribs being overcooked was a HUGE letdown, but I can report that what you COULD eat from the ribs was pretty good.
I’m a huge BBQ fan, and I was read to love this place since it’s convenient to get to. Was pretty disappointed and am hoping it was just an off day.

Yall I got this food for breakfast. Never even put the mild sauce on the wings. Just ate them plain, and they were amazing. Greens were super tender and seasoned right. If I was going to nit pick only complaint that I could sat is that the greens didn’t have meat in them. Would recommend for sure. There isn’t seating inside so it is Togo. But I got all of this and a drink for $13

Decided to give it a try for the lack of options around and have been blessed! Got a wing platter and omg one of the best wings I’ve ever had! And sides -both potato salad and slaw taste like homemade and seem really fresh. Oh and of course the sauce! Definitely a discovery for me, will be back for sure! Thank you
