I had a great experience with the takeout from this restaurant. The fried rice was perfectly cooked and had a generous amount of shrimp and chicken. I also really enjoyed the vermicelli bowl, which was topped with flavorful grilled pork, a crispy spring roll, and fresh vegetables. The mango salad was another standout, with a sweet and tangy dressing that perfectly complemented the fresh mango and crunchy peanuts. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious, and I’ll definitely be ordering from here again!

Absolutely loved our visit! The pho here is seriously delicious—super flavorful broth and fresh ingredients. It hit the spot! The place is also really clean, which I always appreciate.
A special mention to the Filipina servers—they were so welcoming, kind, and attentive. They made us feel right at home and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.
Highly recommend this place if you’re craving authentic Vietnamese food with excellent service!

I was very pleased with the cleanliness and staff at this location. Very inviting. I ordered the bun Bo hue. Came out fast and hot. It was delicious and fresh. And the price point is on the lower side. I was happy with the meat to noodle ratio and the slices were a good thickness. Well done.

This was my second time coming here. & yet it still disappointed me :/ The beef satay i ordered was not good. I had only one bite, i barely touched it. And i did inform them that i didn’t like it, the flavour was off. (I’ve had beef satay from other Vietnamese restaurants before). They informed me that they’re sorry about the order but that’s how the restaurant makes their satay. Which is fair! But then told me the order is non-refundable and if i wanted to, i could order something else or take my beef satay to go? The service is okay? The place isn’t busy at all but service was slow, they were inattentive at times. I’m sure others love this place. But my overall experience wasn’t good, and i apologize for leaving this review.

Stopped by PhoXpress for lunch and ordered the grilled chicken with spring rolls to go. The flavor was decent but a little on the bland side without the sauce. Portion size was smaller than I expected compared to most Vietnamese spots, but overall, not bad.

It’s a nice open, comfortable restaurant. I’ve been there a few times. The amount of food they serve, however, is not good anymore. I ordered the beef satay noodle soup twice on two separate occasions. Both times they skimped on the amount of beef. The first time I ordered, there were two little pieces of thinly sliced beef in the bowl. About 2.5 inches long. I didn’t say anything about it. But when I ordered the same satay bowl again on a different occasion, I specifically asked the server if they would be a little more generous with the beef. This time they put a couple of more pieces in the soup, but it was still skimpy. Worse than that, my parents ordered a fried beef noodle dish that had VERY LITTLE beef in it! See photo. The dish was almost all noodles with, again, three little pieces of beef about two inches long! We were so shocked that we voiced our displeasure to the waitress. She came over, pointed at the dish and said “There’s beef, right there.” Yeah, the three small pieces the size of my pinky finger! When we were leaving, I noticed the waitress was giving us dirty looks even though we complained nicely. We won’t be going back here. I noticed other reviews mentioning the same skimpy portions that they serve at this particular PhoExpress. Perhaps that’s why this restaurant is usually pretty empty whenever I go there. They’re probably losing business because they’re so cheap with their meat servings!

Come here as its a place that my friend with food issues are able to eat! Great flavours, and they have a big selection of food as well! Lots of tables available here. Staff was very accommodating and listened to all of the food issues we had. Thank you so much!

I’ve been here quite often while the servers are never nice they’re at least somewhat efficient. Called in advance as a group of 14 they said yes. When we arrived there was only one table of two, the table wasn’t set up and it took awhile to get menus and waters. I can admit they did get a bit of an unexpected push of tables (after our order was taken), but half of our table’s drinks didn’t arrive until we were all done eating, mind you most of the food came out cold. Almost all plates were empty by the time we were checked on. She kept saying she was making the drinks herself which is understandable but I don’t think half starting multiple tables is very good service. Manager wasn’t in either, perhaps we should be prioritizing adequate staffing rather than sitting at home. If we were unable to be properly accommodated we would have been happy to go elsewhere.

Nice restaurant that’s close to home with very reasonable hours. Food was hot and fresh but lacked in that Asian-sensation flavour you get at most other places. I’m sure they have a super-killer dish on the menu but I didn’t order it. Satay Beef was okay, green onion cakes were delicious but far greasier than optimal and the dumplings lacked flavour. I’d go again over McDonlad’s but only if it’s Sunday and other Vietnamese options are out of the question.

Today for the first time I stopped at PhoXpress Hampton located at 6031-199th Street Edmonton, Alberta. I was greeted very warmly by Jess who sat me at a table and promptly served me a water and took my order. I chose the 4 colours #33 Vermicelli. It was ready is a short time and it was absolutely delicious. The entire experience was worth taking time to do a google review of this fine restaurant and the server, Jess as well. I will be back.
