This place truly feels like home, and the food tastes just like it. I remember my first order: Stir-Fried Beef Ho Fun. The portion was so generous, it lasted me two meals. They also have great discount lunch deals every weekday, which is fantastic. Now that I’ve finished my studies and I’m heading off to California, I find myself wishing I could come back. We have just had a fantastic meal at South Lions. As a family of 4 from the UK staying for a week we have tried out a few places to eat in Hoboken and this was without a doubt the best from every aspect ….. price, taste, quality and service. We arrived about half an hour before they were due to close, but we weren’t rushed and the owner was warm and friendly, recommending different dishes and giving a 15% discount when we paid cash. We ordered a selection of sides and mains and when the food began to arrive we realised we had ordered a LOT! It was all freshly cooked and soooo full of flavour, with very generous portions. Then to our surprise the owner then came over with a dessert on the house! Highly recommended , just a shame we didn’t discover it earlier or we would probably have been back every night!

This place is is an absolute gem in Hoboken. The service is good and clean. I went with my brother and ordered beef fried noodles. The dish is big and tasty. They have a long menu with different stuffs, I would like to try other dim sums other times. They all look good and fancy. Also, it is very cheap, it is like most of stuffs under $8.00. You can enjoy more options because of the good price. This is a must-visit for anyone looking for dim sums, you won’t be disappointed.
