The dining room was set up nicely. We came at an off-hour, 3:00 on a weekday, so we were the only ones there, though a couple of people came in to pick up to-go orders. The food was absolutely perfect. I enjoyed my creamy Chai tea. We got first-rate personal service. After spending hours at the doctor’s office, it was a relaxing, delicious treat.

I came in around 1pm on a Monday and I was there for about an hour, the restaurant did not get very busy during my time there. You are able to seat yourself and then the staff is very attentive for your whole experience. I got the Chai, samosas, and lamb curry and all of it was amazing and well beyond my expectations which were already high. There is a very welcoming ambiance with the staff and how the restaurant is set up. I ate alone but I will definitely becoming back with friends.

Got recommendation for this place by one of our friends. Good ambience. Here is the list of food we ordered:
1. Garlic Naan- the best you can get in Omaha, very fluffy and tasty
2. Lahsuni gobhi- we heard they prepare it very tasty, but got disappointed, more vinegar and salt than required.
3. Paneer- good taste
4. Dal makhni- can be improved further as we could taste more water than creaminess
5. Chicken curry- good taste

Overall the experience was average. Would rate it as one of the few worthy of eating and affordable Indian restaurants at Omaha.

One suggestion for the restaurant owner/ workers- please be more receptive if anyone constructively criticizes any of the preparations.

I love this small treasure of a restaurant!
The Lunch buffet is amazing and so many great flavors! The lunch buffet run Friday, Saturday and Sunday only from 11:30 to 1.
I wish they would do the buffet at dinner time as well and we would be there every week! ❤️

We also came for a normal dinner date another night and the food was fabulous! I reccomend the lentil soup, butter chicken and garlic naan!

Staffing is rough for them currently so be patient and kind. But the flavors are to die for are worth any wait time! They are all very nice and helpful!

A great experience with Indian food at zaika. Plenty of comfortable seating and top notch service. The owner/server was friendly and quick to help us. The baigan bartha was so delicious. Freshly made with the perfect level of spicy at a medium for me. The chicken vindaloo was solid. It has giod flavor, with a thinner sauce than we are used to but still enjoyable with generous amount of meat and potatoes.
The garlic naan was great and huge. A single order is plenty for two people.
Both of us have leftovers for lunch!
The prices were on point. Will return for sure.

By far the best Indian cuisine in the entire Omaha area! For all of you Indian food lovers out there, this is a must try! Zaika has become our new favorite and every visit we order new items (something that’s hard for me especially when I know how good the previous dishes have been). However, EVERY new item we get is even better than the one before! Feeling wishy-washy? Ask the server! This family owned restaurant is great at giving you suggestions and walking you through what you may like best- or- tailoring a dish to suit your needs. Honestly, between the ambience, the friendly service, and the phenomenal food- this place is one of the best restaurants around!

Delicious food! Amazing hospitality! Loved the concept of on-table grill! Appetizers are great! Paneer lajawab, malai kofta are super delicious here! We had biryani at the end and I found it best one in Omaha! Do try their mango and masala lassi. That is rich in taste.

Best Indian food in town! Please keep up with the quality. Kudos to our server Shipra. Her enthusiasm and behavior is very positive!

Highly recommend this place!

DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!

I was bummed when my favourite Japanese restaurant closed (Tokyo Sushi/Yakiniku Boy — one restaurant but two sides were different).

However, I have been thrilled with its replacement. We’ve been eating at Zaika for several years now and consistently get great food. Their naan is amazing. And all their dishes have been outstanding. They stopped serving a chip and chutney while you waited for food. But that isn’t a deal breaker.

I didn’t get a lot of pics — sorry. I’ll try and update my review later. But I strongly recommend Zaika.
