Super cute space, mighty sweet barista and craaazy delicious berry scone with fantastic flavor! It’s all loaded up with berries, plus that addictive chewy -AND- crumbly scone texture that they’ve obviously put on a lot of attention into perfecting!
The coffee is a perfectly intense roast; not dark n bitter, but comforting and bright espresso.
Thank you so much for making my morning, guys!
Unfortunately, it was raining and we could not enjoy the outdoors seating area, but it was pretty beautiful.
The only con is that we went once at about 1 p.m. and there were almost no baking goods, as it seems they make them only in the mornings.
The staff are really friendly and helpful – the lady who served me gave me loads of advice about local trails when I asked and the whole place just generally has a really nice vibe to it. Anyone who gets to have their morning dose of caffeine here everyday is very fortunate indeed!
It’s the perfect treat before or after a day of skiing, there’s one bathroom out around the back.
Not to mention the shop is just so damn cute.
We didn’t get any coffee this trip, but they had a great menu that I thought was decently priced.
We got the raspberry-almond cream puff, a cinnamon apple muffin, and two cheese and chive rolls. All of them were exceptionally delicious.
The also have a “baked yesterday” basket for half price which I think it just such great practice.
As for the food, we all ordered Chai (some dirty some not) and it’s okay at best. Not super flavorful or rich like we like it. It was nice and hot though for a crisp fall morning. One of us got the bacon breakfast sandwich and I would say it was the best item we tried. Then, we split a veggie burrito and it was pretty good. Finally, we got a pumpkin muffin to split. We aren’t gluten free, but the muffin was and it was super yummy!! great texture and spices.
Overall, I would recommend trying this place out and giving it a chance. Definitely a good choice in this small town!
During COVID times, the inside of the building was blocked and the staff would retrieve your items for you. But we’re back to normal now – you can go inside and select your bakery items from the shelves using the provided bakery paper and bags, read the menu posted on the walls, and shop for t-shirts or other touristy items while your espresso drinks and food are prepared.
They have excellent options for vegetarians – most often we come here for an after-hike lunch and we select the veggie burrito and the veggie breakfast sandwich – plus lots of great bakery items like pastries and cookies. The peanut butter cookie, raspberry chocolate chip muffin, and the PB-doodle are particular standouts. Highly recommended!
