I wanted to take the time to recognize two employees at this Chipotle location —(i believe that’s their names , so sorry if i’m wrong!!) Tatiana and Steven — for consistently providing top-tier, five-star customer service. Every time I visit, they make me feel welcomed, valued, and confident that my order will be made exactly how I like it.
One experience that really stood out happened close to closing time when the store had run out of sour cream. I was clearly disappointed, and the employee initially helping me seemed tired and ready to go home, which I completely understand at the end of a long shift. I was about to leave without ordering when Steven, the manager, noticed what was happening. He stopped me before I left and assured me he could fix the situation. With a great attitude and a smile, he found a way to get me sour cream and turned what could have been a negative experience into one of the most positive moments of my day. That level of care and effort truly meant a lot.
Tatiana is equally amazing. She has taken my order many times and is always kind, patient, and professional. She makes the experience feel personal and welcoming — even remembering small details about my preferences, like draining the juice from the beans and knowing I enjoy both types of rice. She never rushes me while I’m deciding what I want and always makes sure my order is correct. Seeing her when I walk in lets me know I’m going to have a great experience.
The restaurant is consistently clean, and I often see Tatiana and Steven actively maintaining the space, which speaks volumes about their work ethic and pride in their store.
While there may occasionally be small hiccups with other staff — which is understandable, especially close to closing — Tatiana and Steven always ensure I leave happy and satisfied. Their professionalism, friendliness, and dedication to customer service truly set this location apart.
Thank you both for making every visit a great one!

I’ve been coming here for the past few years, but today was different. My heart is hurt and aches as I recieved a lay off notice at my job, and they know me pretty well here. As I usually am cheerful and love joking with the staff today just I felt different. You want to talk about employees who care it’s here. They knew it was coming for me as I’ve been effected by the 988 layoffs. They were compassionate, tried their best to make me feel like it was going to be okay, and as someone non emotional that much I left teary eyed…I respect this place so much. You are more than a customer here. You truly are family to them and they show it.

The food was good and are huge portions. Some of the meat choices looked really dry like they hadn’t been touched in a while. However, the employees were rushing us to order. My husband had never been to a Chipotle before. Most of the tables were dirty with trash or pieces of food on them. The floor in the dine in area and behind the counter was disgusting. There was dropped food, gloves and trash all over the floor. There was no ice in the ice machine, and when no one was at the counter ordering, people completely disappeared. Editing to add that when I went to use the restroom, there was a wet floor sign in there with brown paper towels littering the floor like confetti and something disgusting in the toilet. I decided to stop elsewhere for a restroom before getting back on the highway for another 2 hours to get home. Will not stop at this Chipotle again.

Great food and service, small dining area though and they really need to do something about the front door. It is too hard to open. An elderly gentleman with a cane needed help going in and out today. I think everyone is thrown off by how hard it is to open the door 🙁

Great customer service! Steve was very kind to our family, especially our kids. He also reminded me to scan for rewards, which I had forgotten. He deserves a raise!

I placed a $70 online order yesterday through the Chipotle app for the first time, for my son’s birthday, and it turned out to be one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. When I arrived, my app still said “In Progress.” There was a full crew working. I stood under the big PICKUP sign for 15+ minutes, completely ignored. I told the cashier I was waiting on a to-go order, but was wondering if I could also add on a side of meat since the app doesn’t have that option. He said yes & asked what meat I wanted. I told him carne asada & assumed he was ringing me up since he was pressing buttons. Shortly after this, my app showed my order as complete but no bags appeared on the pickup shelf. I stood there a bit longer because they had customers & wanted to give them some time. still none asked me my name, if I needed help, what could they do for me, etc. There were three people working the food line (come to find out one is a GM & the other a store manager), a cashier, plus several other staff members there, not a single employee acknowledged me. When I finally told the cashier my order said it was ready, he said “What’s the last name?”. I told him, and the woman at the to-go counter (with her back to me) just pointed a finger at the drive-up rack of bags. That’s where my order had been, even though I didn’t select drive-up. The cashier didn’t even bother to grab the bags, just kept ringing people up. I am picking my jaw up off the floor at this point. Finally, I said “Who is the manager here?” and to my surprise the guy at the serving station says, “I am the store manager and he is the GM” point to the other guy. I was in disbelief that two managers, especially a GM were right there the whole time, watching this happen. The lack of leadership was unbelievable. Honestly, quite sad this it who you have leading your team and store. To make things worse, when I originally asked the cashier about the additional meat, I thought he was ringing me up – no, he was not. I had get back in the other line. As if wasting an ungodly amount of time in this PICKUP line (which is in fact not a pickup line) was not enough. When I finally got the food home, BOTH bags of chips were missing, so my husband had to run to the gas station. AND, I had even ordered EXTRA DIPS – how can this be so AWFUL?!!? On top of that, the chicken was so spicy my kids couldn’t eat it. So what was supposed to be a birthday dinner ended up being a big regret on my part! – GM working Kris Bowers

An older gentleman working here was the most pleasant and kindest person I have ever encountered at a “fast food” establishment.

The Decatur Illinois Chipotle could not be more disappointing. I was so excited to get a Chipotle to Decatur. However, upon its arrival I have been very disappointed. The place is run horribly. The workers dont care and are poorly trained and managed. I recently (and for the last time) visited our Decatur Chipotle. I ordered on the app. When I arrived to pick up in the drive through I waited 25 minutes to get a burrito and chips. Then when I received my food and took it back to my office I unwrapped my burrito only to discover they had decided to give me a burrito that was about a third of the size of what it was supposed to be.
