Found this place on Google. It was definitely worth stopping here! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable. The salad bar was clean and the vegetables were fresh. They had awesome crutons that are made in house! We ordered the 8oz Ribeye. The steak was cooked to order and full of flavor. The menu is simple and not a lot of options. This is good in a way because they are able to focus and make what they do cook awesome.

My wife and I went to Cattlemans for the first time about two weeks ago. Wow, what a good surprise.
Cattlemans has excellent food ! There steaks are as good or better than some of the chain steakhouses steaks. The baked potato was actually impressive too. I was surprised how good the potato was. That’s not what I usually look forward to eating when I get a steak. But at Cattlemans it is now a must in my book.
Oh, and the best part, the prices are much less than a chain steakhouse. The service was great, as well as the Texas toast. We are going back tonight. 🙂

We were starving but wanted to get past Montgomery so we chose this place bc it had good reviews. There was no gravy in the building for chicken or steak. The salad bar was white lettuce, a few choices of veggies and something that looked moldy. My steak was supposed to be cooked to medium but it was so thin, there wasn’t any pink. At least the service was good!

This was a average country restaurant I wish Hickory Chip had been open on Sunday. I had the steak cooked as I asked flavor was good but it was a typical beaten to tenderness cut of meat you find at these backwoods places. To compare with a chain restaurant is foollish at best. We will not make the drive for this restaurant. Over all decent, respectfull staff, with okay food. As my wife said nothing to write home about.

Absolutely the best steak we’ve ever had, the people were so warm & friendly, we were treated like family. We were sorry to hear that very day was the last day they would be open. The owners were retiring & the restaurant would be closed permanently

Ok, this place gets 4 stars instead of 5 for 2 reasons:1) the atmosphere is pretty bad, but almost bad enough that it’s kitchy. 2) they have a smoking section that’s open to the “non-smoking” section. It’s amazing too, because there will be a line of people waiting to be seated and only like 6 people in smoking. Hey, Cattleman’s. Get rid of the smoking section. You could do more business.

Very rude! Waited until the 3rd couple that came in after us were seated and when we politely asked if they had accidentally overlooked our name the person said she had called our name 10 minutes before. which was a lie as we were standing there waiting the entire time!

Very friendly watress, nice comfortable atmosphere and a very very great steak, it was seasoned just right and cooked to perfection. Worth the drive and very affordable prices, definitely coming back!

Everything was great. But, sad to say, my family will not be back because of the new policy of selling alcohol. I was wanting to book a banquet there this year, but, will go elsewhere. So sad. 🙁
