Nice restaurant, lovely ambience and atmosphere, nice vibes.

Food was good, dessert could have been better. The meatballs were lovely, steak and vegetables were great. Pizza and pasta were also raved about. I would say the dessert menu was also artsy farsty, too much going on.

The tables are quite tight IMO, the staff kept bashing up against me, after the 5th time i was going to ask if something was up lol.

The bill came to £300, with a 12.5% service charge automatically added on. Thats a big no for me, tips are earned.

Overall its cosy/chilled vibed restaurant, i would absolutely return for some cocktails/drinks and pizzas.

A solid 4.5/5

Romantic vibe. Open kitchen layout. Waiting time for the food was not that long. Serving size excellent. Food was standard italian. We ordered the gamberi bruschetta, calamari, ragu pasta, and lamb shank. There’s this 50% off on food items during the month of January. Felt that food items and drinks are priced too expensively. The menu’s normal looking and they all tasted pretty much standard if that makes sense. The food didnt particularly looked aesthetically pleasing nor was the menu creative in terms of flavour. It was a standard menu with the expected taste. At the time when we dined in, my partner and I were the only Asian guests. The service team seemed a bit cold towards us? vs them being friendly to the other guests who were white. 2 of the waiting staff didnt even make eye contact they just literally put our drinks on the table – they were looking towards another direction , didnt speak a word. As opposed to them being friendly and chatty to the other guests. So that was quite a shame.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Banca di Roma Glasgow. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional and we felt genuinely looked after. The food was outstanding — huge compliments to Chef Giuseppe, whose cooking was flawless and full of flavour.
A special thank you to Jean Vitorio , the head waiter, who provided first-class service throughout the evening — attentive, professional, and incredibly welcoming.
We had the best service and a truly memorable dining experience. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for amazing food and excellent hospitality.

Slightly disappointing…

My husband booked this as a surprise for our anniversary, as he knew how much I wanted to try it and what can we say, we were a bit disappointed.
Technically there was nothing wrong with anything, and yet… so the place is beautiful, but we already knew that. Service was nice and attentive, so couldn’t fault that either. The first let down was loud banging dance music, not what we expected at all from an Italian place. And I’m not saying it needs to be stereotypical Italian music, but something a bit more chilled out would have been nicer. So for starters we had scallops, which my husband really liked and I had a bruschetta with prawns and cavolo nero, which was fine, but a bit dry, it was definitely lacking some sort of sauce or a bit of creamy burrata to sauce it up. For mains we had pappardelle with lamb ragu and a carbonara. Again, my husband was quite happy with his and my carbonara was ok, rich and creamy (without cream, thank god) but I have a strong suspicion that pancetta was used instead of guanciale. The texture just wasn’t right. The biggest let down was the dessert. We decided to share a straciatella tiramisu, and we both agreed that it was basically a bowl of whipped cream. Couldn’t taste the coffee, savoiardi were hard to find and the addition of choc chips was not great at all. They were big, chunky and overpowering, tasted like baking chocolate.
So overall, it wasn’t a bad meal, but definitely did not live up to the expectations we it was just a bit meh. We had better Italian food in so many other places in Glasgow, so we probably won’t be back.

From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely looked after. Manager Vito was an excellent host — attentive, welcoming, and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the evening. What really stood out was Chef Giuseppe personally coming to our table during the meal to check that everything was to our liking. That kind of care and pride in the food doesn’t go unnoticed. The dishes were beautifully prepared, full of flavour, and clearly made with passion. Between the warm hospitality and the quality of the cooking, it was an experience we’ll definitely return for.

overhyped, the only good thing about it is that it’s pretty. insanely extortionate, they charge £4 each for the room temperature tap water we drank while deciding on our food even though we later ordered two cokes . they even kept £7 of my change when I paid the bill?? the waiter just never came back? if the food was good then I would not mind at all, but the food was unbelievably bland and not authentic. there are far better Italian restaurants in Glasgow with nice interior too. I am extremely disappointed.

Popped in for a drink last night and were told we needed a reservation, apparently there was no availability all night. My sister walked in 5 minutes later with no reservation, plenty of empty unreserved tables upstairs, she asked a few if they had reserved and the majority hadn’t. Absolutely appalling way to treat respectable customers who regularly pop in for drinks and have dined here on numerous occasions. The young lady at the front door has just lost you a couple of loyal respectful customers….obviously our face didn’t fit!!!!

We went for the new Pink Thursday deal which includes 3 courses and a glass of prosecco (with a quirky touch) Our waiter (Arnie) was very attentive to us and made sure everything was ok. The food was all unbelievable and had a pianist playing while we were there which was very nice. Could’ve sat all night.

booked this place for a nice meal with my friend who had travelled up from england, when we walked in the atmosphere was lovely but when we were sat down we didn’t get a drinks order for 15 minutes then our drinks arrived and we waited a further 15 minutes for someone to take our food order although there was multiple staff standing around the till. when we did get our order taken the staff just seemed uninterested and in a rush to get away from the table. they also sit all the tables of 2 along this long sofa with a chair opposite you. which made you feel like you had to talk very quietly so no one would hear your conversation.
