something needs to be done about this girl handling the register. Train her on
-customer prioritization
-greeting etiquette
-appropriate procedure when addressing an order mistake. (Don’t give a subpar fix to an order mistake)
-making sure she refers to the “balance due” part of an order receipt so she doesn’t overcharge anyone. Have her double check before she argues with a customer about the price. Especially when that customer is certain that the price is incorrect.
When I came in to pick up my carry out order, she was on the phone with someone who was still deciding what they even wanted. I know this because she was telling them about coupons and deals, because they were undecided on what they even wanted and kept changing their mind. there was no cooked food that these people on the phone were waiting for. She could’ve simply told them, “Im sorry, can I put you on a brief hold?” Asked if I was there to pick something up, Handled my pickup order(that was ready and now losing freshness) and then continued on the phone. Instead she stayed on the phone with them, ignoring me completely, she kinda just sunk down behind the screen at the register & discussed deals they have to offer to this undecided customer. I was standing there for almost 10 min as she did this and another person behind me came in and was like “why are we waiting for our pick up orders, I already paid…”…..and it was clear that we were there for pickup because the pizza cook even came up and said “are you picking something up?” And I told them that I was. Which he then responded “sorry she’s the only person who can handle that, hopefully she’ll be done soon”. So I waited…..longer than anyone should have to wait for a carry out order. Minutes later, she gets off the phone after putting in The order for them, gave a quick “sorry” (not a “sorry for taking an order over giving you your food which you already ordered”) asked me what the name was on the order, grabs it, and then says “okay that’ll be 26.58” which was the incorrect price…..I ordered on the app, with a “1 large 5 topping pizza for $12.99” coupon…so it should’ve been like $14 something after tax….i asked if that was the right order because it should be like $14 something and still she was like “yeah that’s the right order and no , it’s definitely 26…see” as she pulls the order receipt out and points at the 24.99 at the top…and then I said “but I used a coupon in the app and it should be this” and pointed at the bottom of the same order receipt where it said “balance due” that read $14 something…for a second she still argued with me until I pointed it out again. She then conceded and was like “oh what, that’s….oh sorry, yeah you’re right hold on let me fix this….”. It makes me wonder if anyone else has been overcharged when ordering with a coupon for a “pay in store” carry out order ….but are in too much of a hurry to notice. So I get my pizza , which was significantly colder by now and I get in the car…look inside, and my wife and I notice they didn’t put garlic seasoning in the crust (this is hand tossed and we included that we wanted this). So I bring it back in and ask them to fix it, and apparently she just took it and squirted some on the now cold crust. So when I checked it out again back in the car it was just this thick sauce on top of the crust that hadn’t soaked in. I understand that’s how it’s applied but in order for it to soak in properly the pizza dough still needs to be hot n fresh out of the oven. So my wife, now furious that something that should’ve taken 3-5 minutes has taken around 20-25 min, goes back in with the intent of having them remake the whole thing. Seeing that they were slammed, she just had pizza cook put the pizza back through the oven. It did dry it out a little bit but the pizza ended up still being decent.
I had forgotten to add peppers and parmesan to my order so I called and they added it to my order and let me know that drivers were backed up but we would get our order delivered (whew). Also FYI, I had to call a few times before I got an answer.
So understandable since it’s a busy weekend and the roads were crazy. Anyway….our order arrived at our door from our driver (Angelica) who was so nice.
Don’t believe everything you read….. the food was delicious and we saved a lot of money by ordering in.
Ordered pan pizza, 5 toppings, so I made sure to click “well done” because five toppings on the Pan pizza, you have to cook it extra and of course, I forgot to check it when I pick the pizza up and I got back to my hotel and it’s regular cooked, and the dough is not cooked. The pizza wasn’t made that well either, most of the ingredients went towards the middle.
Can’t drive back now Even if they did offer to make a new one. I would say 80% of the time when I order this pizza they always get it wrong, so I guess I got to just start ordering online, and then call the store to make sure? That’s not the way it should be, is it?
It’s just ruined my experience. I only order Dominos once every two or three months now So I wanted the experience. It is what it is I guess.
