I wish I could give zero stars. We ate here a couple of weeks ago and it was amazing. Full containers with plenty of food. Hot and fresh. So last night I wanted jerk chicken so bad. My husband picked it up, spent over $50. Come home. The cabbage is maybe a spoon full of that. The rice and peas was cold and old. But THE JERK CHICKEN, it was so dry burned and old that I couldn’t even eat it. It was hard like a rock. Then they told my husband the plates don’t have plantains in them anymore okay fine we will order some but they were old too. I think this is one of those hit and miss places. If the owner is there then perfect if not beware!!! I was so heartbroken and disappointed.

I’ve been to multiple mangos location at this point and I can say this one is my least favorite. My server/barkeep was amazing. Her name was Niqua and she was running the entire front of the house with what looked to be like no supervisor. I respect that. It was a pretty slow day since I hate that for her. There is no alcohol at this location. It’s a very small venue. But while Niqua was amazing I did not appreciate the food. My rice and peas was dry and I felt the goat was cut without a care in the world. I don’t mind spending money in the community but I don’t want to unalive myself trying to do it. I just feel that the food is better at the west end location. Have a great day! Thanks Niqua!

I ordered via Uber eats, I have ordered from this location before. Never had any issues. Until 11/16/2023 –

This is absolutely ridiculously and the fact that the location closed 5 mins after I got my order is insane.

My chicken is RAW, like chicken came out the pack.

I am unable to contact anyone via phone or through the website.

I actually took a bite of my food and immediately spit it out once I saw pink.

Just from one bite my stomach is now cramping!!!!!

Wasting my money in this economy is wild.

Curry goat plate was very skimp for 20$ and the jerk chicken pasta was terrible the chicken was so hard I couldn’t even chew it I definitely don’t recommend eating from here at all

i came here to pick up an uber order. i checked online before coming and it said the store closes at 2am. i arrive by 1:10am and the sitting area outside is full. i go inside to retrieve my order and someone tells me the restaurant is closed. mind you, he’s blowing backwood smoke in my face the whole while. it is now 1:16 and the turned off the music. but the store is still full! the man that told me they were closed has since turned the music back on and is outside dancing and smoking with friends. so it’s giving they shut everything down and hr early to party. very bad for business.

then a guy comes to my truck as i’m typing this (as if my presence was inconveniencing their party) and asks if i’d like to get food. i told him the man said they were closed. he reiterates they were closed but asks if i want to order food. there is another man and a young lady walking in right now! business is for making money. not a place to throw parties an hour before closing.

First and last time… when I gave the plate back to cashier due to my plate had infant serving of cabbage.. that was sign get refund. Food was not fresh, no flavor/seasoning chicken hard, dry old with sauce throw on top as if fresh, rice dry no flavor, plantain burn up over cooked and cabbage over cooked salty!! Oxtail plate portion small not worth $27. Total purchase $45 please don’t waste your time in this place. Cook rushing to get off and throw plate together. Location Atlanta downtown

I always get the jerk tofu and a veggie patty. I ordered mine extra spicy. My plate was perfect. It was juicy and delicious and came with veggies, cabbage and rice and peas. One of my fave places and I love that they have a veggie option.

Every single time I come here brother someone isn’t at work to take my order their machines don’t work to take proper payment or they close before what’s advertised online. I came once before and was told to get change for a 50 dollar bill. Which was asinine and inconvenient. How do you run your business and you can’t exchange a 50 when I’m spending 20. Make it make sense. Going today tap machine doesn’t work get to the end of placing my order and then I’m informed the tap pay doesn’t work. Being that I’m in the food industry where 85% is customer service I don’t see how they’ve operated this long. Do better

If there was zero stars I would give this place that. Spend $40.00 and got 4 pieces of chicken for 2 entrées both chicken. Rice was definitely old and its not even authentic, hell tasty period. All the locations are the same now, how is it you only have Cabbage as a side. Seriously this makes other Black restaurants suffer. Wouldn’t recommend my enemies to eat here.
