Reviews
The service is decent
And
The atmosphere is MID at best
Honestly of all the places in Kansas City I cannot believe they would locate a franchise Taco Bell Cantina in the Westport area because despite the costumers there are still a hand full of complaints coming from unsatisfied people…..
This one of few of many other employees have some nerve to tell me who is banned and who isn’t banned KCPD and other security don’t care but I swear if I looked like that and worked at a place like this I’d be miserable too but thank God I’m not this guy
We arrived in person around 1:30 AM and were told we could not order inside and were forced to order online, even though the location didn’t close until 3:00 AM. The front doors were locked, and after placing our mobile order, we were directed to a side pickup window.
From there, everything fell apart.
We stood at the side window for over 35 minutes with no employee acknowledging us. There was a visible pile of completed orders inside, but staff intentionally ignored mobile/online orders while continuing to fulfill inside orders only. Even knocking on the window was ignored.
When staff finally came to the window, they admitted they were over two hours behind. People waiting were told things like, “That person ordered two and a half hours ago”—many of those customers had already given up and left. Yet the system continued to accept online orders.
When I asked for basic information—what order numbers they were on, whether we were close, or an estimated time—I was told “everything is out of order” and that they had no idea. That’s unacceptable for a major chain with a digital ordering system.
One male employee (pictured in my upload) was openly rude and dismissive. When I asked for a refund, he refused to help, offered no solution, and when asked his name responded with, “It doesn’t matter what my name is.” Another customer (my friend) had ordered two hours earlier and left—staff refused to even help retrieve a receipt or provide guidance.
Security was equally unhelpful, stating they were “just paid to stand there” and unwilling to assist with communication or crowd control.
To make matters worse, a shooting occurred nearby, after which the location shut down completely, canceled all remaining orders, and sent everyone away—no food, no communication, no accountability.
The most offensive part of this experience was the attitude. It was very clear that staff assumed customers were drunk or didn’t matter because it was late night in a bar district. That does not excuse disrespect, ignoring customers, or refusing refunds when the business failed to deliver.
If you take someone’s money immediately, you are responsible for either fulfilling the order or providing a refund—on the spot, not pushing customers through extra hoops later.
This location showed:
• No crowd management
• No mobile order process
• No accountability
• No respect
I will never return to this Taco Bell Cantina, and I strongly caution anyone ordering late night here—especially online.
Food wise, I didn’t see anything different than what is at a regular taco bell. One of the workers stated there were appetisers but I didn’t see any. Prices are slightly higher, no dollar menu.
The drinks were good but prices were pretty steep. My freezer with an extra shot was $20, that being said they may have just given me the most expensive option because I didn’t specify. My friend got a margarita with an extra shot and he asked for the cheapest tequila option and his was also $20.
I don’t think this is somewhere I would suggest going but rather a place you end up after going to the bars in Westport. It was a nice place, good music and multiple TVs on every wall. I think it’s a beneficial addition to the Westport area but not somewhere you would start your night.
It will always have a special place in my belly!
