Our server even blamed us for ordering sporadically after waiting over an hour for our rolls. She kept lying about when the food was being prepared and about what we ordered, since throughout the experience we were doubting we were ever going to get our food. Didn’t offer anything on the house, so it must be regular behavior for them. This restaurant has no respect for customer’s time. I understand it is an establishment and restaurants aren’t entitled to serve anybody, but for the prices, I would suggest taking your business to more worthy restaurants. This one is worthless, at least compared to the Metairie location. I will say that I enjoyed my cocktail, the passion fruit one. And I am happy that they were open on a Sunday night and open to large tables. But it was SO overpriced and such a waste of lifetime overall
Service on the other hand has gone out the window. Every night recently when I go to eat, I am greeted by my waiter with “just to let you know, sushi is taking about 30minutes to come out the kitchen tonight.” I am hearing this repeatedly, and on every night of the week.
Most recently on Sunday evening, it took an hour and a half to get served food. The restaurant had fewer and fewer sat tables yet the amount of time continued to grow.
One couple seated near me, had never been to the restaurant before, and I think they were the last people to get served after waiting 2 hours for their food.
If you like this restaurant, I suggest you get your fill soon, because I am betting that it will not be here in 2027.
After being seated, we waited an additional 20 minutes and no one came to our table. No greeting, no water, no acknowledgment at all. Meanwhile, the tables around us were attended to multiple times by their servers.
I brought this to the hostess’s attention, and unfortunately, her response was a shrug and “I don’t know,” with no effort made to correct the situation or send someone over. At that point, we decided to leave.
I truly hope this was simply poor management or miscommunication, but it was hard not to feel singled out given that other tables were being served without issue. I hope the establishment addresses this, because no guest should feel ignored or unwelcome.
The server was nice but was inattentive and I think she was training a new girl, not sure that’s going to work out, but it was disappointing.
There are too many other options closer to home that we will be utilizing in the future.
Sad, used to be worth the drive and high price, but not anymore.
